Do I have anyone that would be interested in adopting a senior toy Pomeranian (10 yr old male) or senior Yorkie(14 yr old female)? Both in good health. Male requires a belly wrap inside due to marking. No adoption fee to the right home. These dogs are from different situations and do not have to be placed together.

My very dear friend, Katie Draves Beasley, has the most amazing mini pony who had to have emergency surgery this week to save his life. This is not just any pony but this guy is a superhero and is a therapy horse that goes into nursing homes! He has an extensive resume summarized below (definitely worth the read) and he’s a priceless asset to our community. His vet bill will exceed $9000 so we are asking for help from our awesome community.

If you’ve been driving in the Huntsville/Decatur area and noticed a tiny horse in a minivan it was likely Gnomeo. Gnomeo and Katie Beasley have been volunteering with Therapy Partners, Inc. (https://www.therapypartners.org/) to provide pet therapy to this area for the last six years.

You may have seen him once in the last 13 years in a parade in Eva, Decatur, Hartselle, Priceville, Athens, or Pulaski.

He may have made you smile at a fall festival, Easter egg hunt, a birthday party, a Fun Day at the Farm events at Shadowfax farms for the patients at St. Jude, Hospice of the Valley’s Camp Hope, Westminster of Decatur Assisted Living and Memory Care, Cullman County Miniature Horse Show, University of North Alabama, University of Alabama Huntsville, Oakwood University, The Terrace at Priceville, Riverside Senior Living, North Alabama Agriplex, Huntsville International Airport, Lincoln County Saddle Club horse show, Studio 60 Senior Center, Lockheed Martin, Cotaco School, Rocking U Ranch Equine Assisted Learning Center, Kendra Scott at Bridgestreet Town Center, Morgan County 911 Dispatch, or Priceville Cruise-in car show.

Gnomeo required emergency abdominal surgery on Thursday, June 6th. After several visits to local veterinarians, he was referred to Tennessee Equine Hospital in Thompson’s Station, TN for the procedure. The medical expenses are expected to exceed $9,000. It will take him about three months to completely recover at which time he will be back out in the community fulfilling his purpose of bringing joy to all he meets.

There will be no daycare Monday 5/27 or Tuesday 5/28 due to the Memorial Day Holiday! We will see all of our daycare babies back on Wednesday!

This does not affect clients who are booked for boarding or grooming/daycare. Those appointments will still take place.

Sunday Fun-day is underway! ❤️🐾

This is going to be a LONG 4th of July holiday with fireworks for probably four days straight. Luckily we have some good protocols in place that keep the dogs happy and feeling comfortable! Tonight, there are fireworks being shot all around us. It sounds like we are in the middle of a war 😂 Here’s a video of all the dogs at the main building resting peacefully despite what’s going on outside. We turn our large drum fans on high and turn the radios on so the dogs can hear them over the fan. This provides enough white noise to muffle any sound from outside. Even my most anxious guests are resting quietly which makes my heart happy ❤️🐾

Had to share this adorable video sent to me by Rugers mama 🤣 He’s really into watching hunting with his dad! We sure do love these sweet babies and love that their families share all their cuteness with us even when they aren’t here!

Y’all! It’s International Poop Scooper Week!!! We couldn’t let the week go by without recognizing our amazing pooper scooper! We surprised the poor kid today with a cake and a little gift! My son, Evan, scoops poop at the kennels 7 days a week! We appreciate him handling this so that we don’t have to and so that the pups have nice clean yards to play in! Who knew that apparently there is an Association of Professional Animal Waste Specialist (aPAWs) and they educate on the importance of picking up animal waste. It’s a stinky job but somebody’s gotta do it! Thank you Evan for all you do!
