Today at the Rubber City Kennel Club Show Groot was awarded WD/BOW for a crossover 3 pt major. Thank you to judge Mr. Charles Olvis for this lovely win.

Besides the Nationals this is Groot's 2nd regular show weekend out and in 4 shows we have earned a total of 5 points! Official win picture to come!

We are so excited for this endeavor! Great future ahead of us!

Lightning Belgian Sheepdogs is expanding! We are teaming up with Sequoia Kennels on our combined passion for Great Danes. Currently have a puppy who just hit to the show ring this year! Goal is to still produce healthy, happy Belgians and Danes that fit their breed standard. Stay tuned for updates!

What a weekend at the Western Reserve Kennel Club show, Groot won Winners Dog and Best of Winners both days for 1 point each day! He showed so well this weekend we couldn't be any happier with him! He now has 2 points towards his AKC Championship! We are so very proud of him. Official win pictures to come soon!

I am so very proud of Groot!
At the Great Dane Club of America National Specialty in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin in regular class judging Groot won his classs and went back in later on for Winners Dog. He didn't go any further but is gaining more experience. I'm excited to see how it goes, and more in the future!

🐾Health testing will be held at Canfield, OH Fairgrounds. This is a good opportunity to get your dogs tested. Testing will include CAER, Ecocardigram and Auscultation, Dentition, and Patellas!

🐾There will be lots of wonderful vendors and food! You will be able to watch the Dog Shows, Dock Diving, and FastCAT.

🐾Health Tests will be available Friday and Saturday, just Saturday for BAER.

Need to get some health testing done while at our show. Look at all these amazing options we have!

***Awareness Post***

We've had two requests to search for dogs recently. Sadly they've drowned and at this time of year they have resurfaced before we could get there, leaving their owners with a traumatic task of recovering them.

There are a number of breeds that CANT SWIM or are POOR SWIMMERS. They can sink very quickly and with best efforts to save them it is often not possible.

You rarely get a second chance with water.

Your dog may never have shown an interest in water, or may just paddle. But dogs are instinct reactive and it only takes one accident.

Please don't take the risk. Please keep breeds that are known to be poor swimmers on a lead near water. At least then you have a chance of saving them.

Some of the breeds most known that can't swim/poor swimmers and most at risk are...

• Pugs
• Dachshunds
• Boxers
• Shih Tzu's
• Basset Hounds
• Corgi's
• Maltese
