We will have (1) stall open starting July 1st

• Stalls are all 12x12 or larger, and are bedded daily with pine shavings. Each stall has an automatic waterer and agricultural fan
• High quality free choice NY hay. Access to alfalfa also available
• Premium grain fed 2-4 times daily, depending on horse’s needs
• Turnout from 7:45am-6:30pm, individual or small group. Grass is an option for horses that are able
• The property has trails that connect to orchards and conservation land in Harvard and Bolton
• Heated/cooled tack room with client lockers and viewing area of indoor arena
• Wash stall with hot and cold water
• Bathroom for boarders
• Indoor arena with lots of natural light, ventilation, LED lights and watering system
• Outdoor arena
• Trailer parking
• Night Check daily
• Owners live on property 24/7
• Biweekly vet visits
• Boarders are welcome to bring their own farrier, and trainer (though we have FEI recognized trainers based here as well)

Introducing Ronaldo CL, affectionately known as Ronnie around the barn.

Ronnie is a stunning 3-year-old stallion with incomparable bloodlines and incredible potential for the top tiers of dressage. He is APSL registered and eligible to be presented as a breeding stallion. With two buckskin parents, he would be sure to throw some beautiful as well as talented babies.

His sire, Líder Seven, is an APSL recommended Lusitano stallion (there are very few and only one other one in the US). Líder is known for passing on exceptional qualities including size, a uniquely phenomenal disposition, color, and competitive elastic gaits. He was at one point the top scoring PSG horse in the country and is currently showing at the Grand Prix level as a 9 year old, already with promising scores.

His dam, Aroeira Do Castanheiro, is a daughter of the famous Lusitano stallion Portugal. Ronnie‘s trainer has had the privilege of working with multiple of her foals and they have also had amazing brains, even with several different sires.

Currently standing at 16’3+hh, Ronaldo exhibits exceptional movement, balance, and agility. His powerful yet elegant build promises impressive performance in the arena. Ronnie is an extremely well-mannered young stallion and displays a calm demeanor both on the ground and under saddle, ideal for a dedicated rider looking to develop a strong partnership. He has always had perfect behavior from the moment we started working with him under saddle and has accepted his job as a riding horse flawlessly. He feels and looks like a horse that has had much more work (he has only had about 10 rides in this video). He is extremely naturally solid through his back and steady in the connection. She inherited Solar’s impressive swing, with a natural uphill tendency, and Hípico’s sweet personality.

This beautiful bay filly is sure to “wow” everyone in the show ring. She is a hugely promising prospect. She is located in Harvard MA.

📖USLA EDUCATION:

NAMING YOUR LUSITANO

Lusitano names follow a specific naming scheme, where the first letter of the horse's name must be sequential to the Portuguese alphabet, corresponding to the year of birth in the Northern Hemisphere beginning Nov. 1.

The letters K, Y and W are excluded from the alphabet.

For horses born in the Southern Hemisphere that same letter is used between July 1 of the preceding year and June 30 of the following year because of where their breeding season falls during the year.

Which is why you may have noticed, a horse that was born for instance in Brazil, may be off a letter from the same year as a horse born in Portugal.

The United States and Canada fall under the Northern Hemisphere rule which begins on Nov. 1. So, breeders must honor this naming convention when naming their Lusitanos. If this is not done, APSL will automatically insert the current year's letter followed by a hyphen at the beginning of the name of the horse, thus becoming part of the horse's official name.

2024 is the letter "U"
