Small Family Natural Farms

Small Family Natural Farms Catering to conscientious meat lovers with homegrown heritage beef, pork, chicken and turkey. We will offically open in 2018.

Family-owned, Small Family Farms began in 2005 when our family purchased five acres of land and a tractor. We wanted a unique farm experience for our family with the opportunity to have farm pets and produce food in our "backyard." We began with horses and quickly added chickens, bees, turkeys, dairy cows, lamas, alpacas and hogs. Our eggs, milk, honey, beef, pork & turkey became the envy of our f

amily and friends - hence our expansion to 30 acres in Harvard, IL. Come by our farm, we're happy to talk with you about our practices and what makes our meat different. We promise you the trip is worth it and the Harvard-Woodstock-Marengo area offers a wealth of u-pick berry stops, Christmas tree farms and pumpkin patches. We are currently building fences and homes for our animals.

Well, hello Daisy! Daisy is a 100% a2a2 Jersey calf. She will be raised and sold as a homestead milk cow. If anyone knows of someone looking for a dairy cow for family milk have them message us. She will be trained alongside her mother Alfalfa who is our milk cow. We can help with learning safe milking techniques. Jersey cows are known for having high cream content in their milk. This is needed for making cheese, butter, ice cream, etc…yummy!

Welcome Potato! Kyle raised a blue ribbon Bourbon Red turkey two years in a row at the Boone County Fair. This tom caught our eye as we walked the poultry barn at the fair and Potato now brings a new gene pool to our breeding stock.
