Has anyone lost a husky? I was near FX gas station on 53, and there was a thick husky walking through a field very slowly.... looked really hot and I couldn't stop. It was heading North. I went back asap to look for it and couldn't find it. It was bushy and not a high contrasting color. More lighter gray and white markings like some have.

Such a good example of how hard it can be to finish a groom on a dog that thinks he's about to go home! They can smell you even if you have stepped in just for a second and back out.
I've timed it, about 2 min for them to start sniffing the air 😆 You can't trick them, I've tried spraying some fragrance around to throw them off 🤣 They're just too smart
The last part I do is the scissor work and face work.

I have some Pigeon River pottery from the Smokies. Very good shape, and very pretty. I just swapped out my stuff. Asking $125.

Just the utensil holder was 40. The soup container/cookie jar was prob 80 alone

Be extremely careful as this new canine respiratory virus is spreading. Recommend not taking your dogs around other dogs unless necessary. Careful where you walk them if other dogs are in the area also. Only in certain states right now, but talk to your vet.
Symptoms: nasal discharge, runny eyes, coughing, sneezing, and not acting right/lethargy. Please let your groomer know if you're dog has these symptoms before bringing. Very contagious and no vaccine right now.

Doodles and other similar coated dogs. Esp when adult coat comes in. Varies with coat types.

The perfect photo to show how matting happens at the base (or at the skin). Make sure to brush at the skin and not just the top layer! I am grateful to have clients on regular schedules. And they try to brush their pups or bring in on a regular basis so we can keep them in good condition! Thank you!

‼️Everyone please make sure your pets are up to date on Rabies vaccine!!‼️

There is a case of a dog biting its eldery owner according to information I have.
Not sure where he lived. But it's Huntsville.

So beware of odd behavior in wildlife like raccoons, fox, skunk, bats.

In ex: If a bat is affected and falls in your yard, your pet gets a hold of it and is exposed.
So it doesn't matter if you keep your pets in a fence.
The cases are slim usually, but this recent case is just a reminder of how serious this can be, as it affects your nervous system with no sure treatment after symptoms are present.
