🌟Spotlight 🌟
Theo is a 14 year old Draft cross that appeared on our radar in probably one of the greatest times of needs. If you know Theo’s mom, part (or most) of her identity is horses.
So when the option to try this guy popped up, Whitney hesitantly accepted after a roller coaster ride with her previous mount.
Theo quickly rose to the occasion proving he is 100% a good boy. He enjoys a challenge and giving his all so he can be rewarded with a pink frosted donut from Dunkin (is he from New England or what??)

You are almost always sure Theo is causing a ruckus at meal times behind your back, but he will put his ears forward as soon as you look at him.

“Ted Lasso” has hopes of giving 1st level a try in 2025 to earn a neck ribbon (yes, it’s a thing) and we have no doubt it will happen.

Theo is owned and so loved by Whitney Fernandes💛(she would totally put a yellow heart here)

With a cuteness alert ‼️
Flicka a 17 year old pony mare joined us almost two years ago as she downgraded from eventer life packing kids around to an “old lady pony”
She was purchased as Welsh/Morgan cross but her DNA test actually confirms she’s a German Riding Pony!
She loves all types of treats but has a vendetta against apples and will let you know that.

Flicka is owned and loved by Anne Puzzo who did quite a bit of hunters in her riding career and is excited to learn dressage where nothing stops Flicka from making sure Anne knows she needs to try harder🩷

Jersey Shore!
Sammi or Samantha on her classy days
Is one of our sweet OTTBs.
She is 8 years old and won a whopping $1300 on the track which she spent on Hermes saddle pads.

Sammi spends her days schooling Hunter/jumper and pretending she’s Gretchen from Mean Girls💋

Sammi is loved by her mom, Emily Nuss who has owned her for 4 years. You’ll be able to notice which pair they are in the arena as Sammi will stick her tongue out at you while she’s working 😜

Fun fact: I am a 6 year old Belgian draft/pony cross. I stand at less than 15 h, and weigh in at a healthy 1200lbs🐷
And I’m barefoot!
Current bestie: Cliff the OTTB
FAVE snack: Arizona iced tea
and Trader Joe’s purple carrots.
Fave part of living at Westgate Farm: the grazing paddock!
Fun fact: my big sister, who named me, lives in Lesotho, Africa and is in the Peace Corps

I came to Westgate in 2023 to be finished into a good partner for my mom and I’ve turned out to be the best boy!

These two cuties had a wonderful day at Beland Stables Schoolibg Show for our last show outing of the year!

The chilly morning brought 2 great rides for Carla and Prince at Intro with scores of 65% and 68% and two blues!

And a warmer afternoon helped Whitney try a first level test with Theo ending with a 4th place and a score 61% with some minor bobbles!
