Glenwood Farm is a beautiful 100-acre horse farm about 12 miles south of Annapolis, MD. With 55 acres fenced into generous fields and paddocks, there is ample room for horses (and ponies!) to stretch their legs and graze on healthy green pastures. Active owner and manager live on premises. We provide field board for up to 20 equine with spacious run in sheds in each field. There are 2 high power f
ans in each run in shed to help keep horses comfortable during the hot summer months. Horses are grouped in small groups (generally 3-4 per field) according to their compatibility and feeding needs. Our facility is operated with our priority being the care of the horses. Each horse has a stall available for his or her use at the owner's convenience. Horse owners are responsible for holding for vet or farrier, but onsite manager is available to help as needed. We feed high quality grain as needed and excellent homegrown hay as needed, dependent on the nutritional needs of our horses. For the benefit of the horses in our care, when hay is needed, we feed ample quantities of square bale hay. Each field has an auto-waterer for continuous access to fresh, clean water. State of the art Light Foot (sand/felt/rubber) footing was installed in the 70' x 140' indoor arena in the spring of 2014, and is groomed regularly. The 75' x 175' outdoor arena has sand footing, and we have jumps, cavaletti, and other obstacles for use both in and out of the ring. George's Trail is a 1.5 mile trail loop through the woods and around hay fields on our property. You'll find a variety of natural and man-made obstacles on the trail.
