It is that time of year again! Catch your feral or friendly-feral neighborhood cats and bring them to be fixed and vaccinated for rabies. Cats must come in a carrier. No appointment is needed.

Cats will have their ear tipped to indicate they have been fixed.

The Stamford library is hosting us for a vaccine clinic this Saturday, July 20 from 10-12. We will have routine vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm preventions available. Cash or check only.

This is an event we look forward to every year. It's fun to teach students about ruminant anatomy and how they turn grass into muscle. We appreciate our local game wardens and Ag Extension agents for helping put this together.

We are sorry to say that Cotton has been missing for a few weeks. She loved to explore trailers, so maybe she rode home with someone. In her absence, we needed a mouser for the barn. Meet Queso Blanco! He is pretty feisty! 😻

This has to feel so much better!💨The rumen is opened to resolve a bloat in a calf.

We had a bull calf with a choke that we couldn’t resolve the normal way so we sedated him and look what we found…! 👀Who knows what it is? Cattle will chew on anything.

Macy is a fan of this song, we can tell. 🤩Sound on. 🎶

C-sections are messy business. At least Dr Gober will help clean up 🤪

Ear mites taken from a cat’s ears. Imagine how ear-ittating this would be! 🤣😉🐱

These are microfilaria (baby heartworms) in a drop of blood being looked at under a microscope. Mosquitos will pick up these worms when feeding on an infected dog or cat then inject the larvae into a new dog or cat while feeding. These worms then develop in tissues, eventually maturing in the great vessels around the heart where they can live for up to 7 years. Test your dog and prevent heartworms by giving a monthly pill or bi-annual injection!

Check out this ear mite from a cat's ear. These guys make a cat scratch like crazy. They are spread by crawling from one animal to the next when in close quarters.
