Sorry I haven't posted much. Been super busy. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a fun filled new year! With today being the first of the year I started off in the best way I knew how! I had no dogs scheduled for today but I found this super sweet old girl roaming around. She looked uncomfortable so I took her home and gave her a bath and trim up to make the start of her new year a great start! After I called her owner who unfortunately has been in the hospital and found she ran off when she was let outside to potty by her sitters. She is losing her eyesight and I assume her hearing as she didn't hear me talking and coming up on her and was startled. Sitters tried to call her back but she most likely didnt hear them. Dad told me she wasn't a fan of going to the groomers and had to go to the vet for grooming under sedation. He was pleasantly surprised when I told him that wasn't necessary and she was so sweet and very manageable with me. Her skin is sensitive with her growths and with some gentle encouragement she let me do anything and gave me kisses after we were done. Both she and dad were grateful for her being found and given a second chance to be taken care of properly without going under sedation and she looked exactly how he always wanted her to look. It was a great way to ring in the new year for them and for me!

Just wanted to stop in a show my appreciation for my clients!

Tips are never EXPECTED but always APPRECIATED!

So far this year I have gotten a few extra tips from some clients for my hard work during the holiday season! Us groomers sacrifice our family time during the holidays to make sure all of your furbabies are holiday ready! We pull double shifts almost everyday during this time! So when we have clients show how much they see and understand our sacrifices and show us their appreciation it really gets us groomers teary eyed! I have also received gifts throughout the years for Christmas not just extra tips! So thank you all for the kindness and loyalty you show me! And a special thanks to the client for your generous Christmas bonus you handed me today! I appreciate all of you! 🥲

I do not do well with slander. LISA GRAUERHOLZ does not take care of her standard poodles. She does not brush them and let's them get so matted it could cause injury. She had refused to pay total balance after I had already given her $45 off what her groom should be trying to be nice and pay it forward. I wasn't going to put it on Facebook. But she wants to blast me and not tell the whole story just parts to make me look like the bad guy.

She had no showed on me 3x. Hadn't taken care of her dog since may. She came to me yesterday and I told her that her dog was extremely matted and the price will be significantly more than usual because of the horrible condition her dog was in. She said ok that's fine. I told her I would let her know the total after I finished the dematting process. It took me over a hour and 45 mins to demat her dog before I could bathe and finish the cut. Her dog was happy the whole time and didn't do anything to get away or show discomfort. She was 30 mins late to drop off and took over an hour to pick up. I told her the price and that i was going to be done in about 30 mins or so. She was happy with the groom and didn't ask about the price to understand or voice her concerns before she got there. She was so happy with the groom and told me he looked great. Handed me the payment and told me she didn't believe I was worth it and shorted me $40. I told her she cannot do that and my price is my price. I had told her a long time ago that my dematting fee is 15 for simple mats but today I told her because of the condition her pet was in it would be a lot higher. She tried to tell me I cannot charge her for my noshows I posted about before. I informed her of just her noshows and she tried to deny it until I told her I can show her the proof. She tried to say I'm a horrible groomer when last groom she told everyone I was the best groomer she ever had, she said she wouldn't be back and I told her with her previous assignment of my skills have a good time finding someone with my skills and a cheap price.

She is now posting all over fb that I traumatized her dog. Which is 100% not true. Her dog loved me and would play with me and jump and kiss me tons and kept coming to me at pick up.

I hate to put this out on Facebook but the situation is going around and isn't the truth. So I told the story.

Just a reminder. My prices are not negotiatable. If you do not take proper care of your pet for what ever reason (which is not my business). If your dog is severely matted and gives me a hard time you will get charged accordingly. It's hard on your pet, hard on me and hard on my clippers. I do not get many clients that are super matted. I was just in a situation where I was shorted 40 dollars and was told I'm not worth it. She wasnt even charged the whole total to give her a break. That is fine I'm not for everyone. I'm ok with that. But I charge below my worth already as the area we are in I am at a comparable price to corporation prices. If your price changes just ask me to break it down for you if you are confused.

My additional prices are

Flea Removal- $20 per bath. Some severe cases needs 2 baths.

Special handling- $15-20. Some dogs are very unsafe and I have to use caution and take extra time to ensure they stay safe as well as me.

Dematting- $15 per 15mins. Essentially $1 per min. Which I can get most dogs dematted with the 15 mins.
