Animal Ark is a Minnesota-based animal welfare organization. We embrace and follow a no-kill philosophy in our work to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Minnesota’s lost and homeless companion animals. With staff providing basic medical care and keeping of our shelter animals, a dedicated group of volunteers provides the next level of care, making the rehabilitation of these wonderful animals possi

ble. Our volunteers provide needed socialization for the companion animals living at the shelter, focusing on the needs of the individual animal based on his or her personality. I find myself in a position where I am looking for a new home, through no fault of my own. Sky is my name and I'm a friendly, 3 year old, male Siberian Husky mix. My owner had health problems and wasn't able to devote the time it takes to care for an active boy like me. She said I do well with cats but am not fond of other canines. I lived with older children and did well with them. If you're looking for a medium size boy, I weigh just 50 pounds so I might be the one for you! I'm looking for a home where people are around most of the time because I don't like being alone. And someone who has the energy to keep up with me!

This morning, we found three beautiful and incredibly sweet cats abandoned in front of Animal Ark . While our hearts ache for them, we want to extend compassion to their previous owners—whatever their situation may have been, we know it must not have been easy.

To give these precious cats the best care possible, we need a bit more information about them. If you are the owner or know anything about these cats, please reach out to us with the following details:

• How old are they?
• What type of food do they like or are used to?

Hi! My name is Scarlett, Scar for short, and I am a happy-go-lucky gal that is just over a year old. I am a "little" lovebug that would love to find a forever home with you! Dog of the Day- Rutt

Hello, my name is Rutt! I am a 3 year old, German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. I was brought to Animal Ark when my family was no longer able to take care of me. They described me as friendly and playful, with a protective side for the people I like. I love playing with tennis balls and being outside with my friends. I am cautious around cats, new dogs, and new people but, love to play once I'm comfortable. I like to think I'm a lap dog even if I do weigh 102 pounds. I have experience with young children and am said to be playful with them!

Happy Adoption Day, Chilly and Casey! Chilly is a male, 4-month-old, black, domestic mediumhair with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. Casey is a female, 6-month-old, grey tabby. Chilly is one of Shiloh's seven kittens that was born in a foster home in July. While Casey came into Animal Ark with her siblings; Harley, Quinn, Casey, Gidget, Ziggy and Kendall in September when they were found as strays. We are so happy to share that these two have found their forever home and now have a feline bestie for life! Happy life!

Ike's journey began in Nebraska, where he was briefly cared for by another rescue group before making his way to Animal Ark in search of his forever home. When he arrived, poor Ike was in rough shape, with a swollen muzzle that turned out to be full of porcupine quills-ouch! But with lots of love, proper care, and some serious TLC, Ike made a full recovery and is now ready to find a family who will cherish him. Weighing about 50 pounds, Ike is a bundle of energy and the perfect companion for someone who loves the outdoors. If you're looking for a hiking buddy who's always up for an adventure, Ike is your guy! He's friendly, outgoing, and has a zest for life that's contagious.

Have you ever heard of Golden hour? Well, I like to call it Goldie hour, because every hour with me will be the best hour of your day! Hi, my name is Goldie and I am a female, 7-year-old, Cream Golden Retriever Mix. I can be just a bit slow to warm up, but I can be convinced to be your best friend with just a few treats. I love being around people, so I would love to find a family that is able to be home with me the majority of the time.
