A thought for the early season youth hunt is that the head may require modifications. In this instance, the neck circumference was suitable for September, but the deer was mature with a longer face. The supplier did not have a proportioned size manikin. I had to either replace the head and integrate the neck or extend the eye to nose. Given the neck's good fit, I opted to extend the eye to nose. I drilled holes in both pieces and filled them in with bondo, epoxy, and clay.

I really like the flesh tone in this nose! My favorite so far. If it wasn’t for that little extra tissue between the nose and bottom lip he’d be almost perfect.
I had to scrape it off shortly after the picture. 😂
