This past weekend Team Pfeiferstein Schnauzers headed to Lake Barrington, Illinois to compete in The Inaugural 1-TDC UKI North American Invitational at Canlan Sports Center.

All of the dogs performed well, but one outshined the rest! That would be Aurora, the 7.5 year old 11 inches tall 8.9 lbs mini schnauzer! Aurora ran her tiny heart out to make the following podiums in the 4 inch select class:
🥇GOLD in Biathlon Overall (2 intense courses)
🥈SILVER in Pentathlon Overall (5 intense courses)
🥉BRONZE in the Blue Ribbon Championship Final!!!!

I am excited to formerly announce that we have a Spring/Summer 2024 litter planned! Sire is chosen. Now we wait for Zhara to come into season! Breeding announcement to follow once pregnancy confirmed.

Emrys big adventure today! We have been leaving Emry loose when we’re gone on occasion, but it hasn’t been much longer than 90 minutes. Today we had to be gone for 4 hours, so Emry was loose the whole time with Jade and Sterling and she did FABULOUS! She’s a busy body, but she didn’t get into anything. What a good girlie!

Zhara, Emry, Rainey, & Aurora had their annual OFA CAER eye check and everything is good! Zhara and Emry had OFA echocardiograms, and everything looks good!! Emry and Zhara waiting patiently for their echos! Such good pups! Since they never went to the vet for puppy things (because I did it at home since I’m a veterinarian) they think vet clinics are super amazing and fun places!

Today Zhara entered AKC Novice Agility for real for the first time, and absolutely blew me away!!! It was her first time at 16 inch regular in competition, first time at this strange facility with poles everywhere, and her first time doing a run for real!! She Qualified in both her runs with one minor handler error refusal fault in each run! She hit 4.561 yps in JWW!! I’m thrilled!! She is a lovely girl!! Her future is so bright!! She is such a versatile, resilient, happy girl!!

After 3 years, Raineys commercial is still airing on FOX! I think she's the most famous mini schnauzer in the Midwest!!! Such a great opportunity!

On July 29th, 2023, at 25 months old, Zhara earned a 5 point major under Judge Dr. Tracy Powell to finish her AKC Conformation Championship at Waukesha Kennel Club show!

Zhara was completely owner handled by me, and finished having earned a 4 point major, a 3 point major, 4 singles and a 5 point major! Just 2 weeks prior we competed in AKC ISC agility! I'm so excited for this versatile girls future!

Zhara has Qualifying scores in AKC Agility, UKI Agility (including making a Regional Podium), AKC Rally, and Barn Hunt! She's the total package, including a winning personality!!

Today is the day - Zhara turns 2 years old!!!

Happy 2nd birthday Zhara aka BIS/UKC CH/UKC Vanda Pepper Grand Calvera CGC RATI TKN!!!!

Zhara is such a joy to have around! She is loving, goofy, sweet, energetic, and simply the best!! I cannot imagine life without her!!

Her 2nd year of life was filled with so many adventures! She became my hiking partner, she continued to be my best patio dog, she traveled thousands and thousands of miles with me, she started training in the ring ar trials, she earned all but 4 singles for her AKC CH, she won a Best in Show in UKC, she ran at the UKI US Open, she made Podium at the UKI Rocky Mountain Festival, she gained a new best friend for life in Emry, she won multiple Best of Breeds in AKC, she is my best alerter, she is my protector, she is my most perfect companion!

I look forward to this years adventures!!!

Happy birthday to her 6 siblings!! I hope your day is filled with so much love and joy!!!
