Group Class- Topic-Based Options

We offer classes every other Saturday, two different classes per day. We will be posting new classes every quarter so stay tuned!

MUST BE A CURRENT CLIENT.
This quarter is included with all current & recent graduates of Fursery School, Furst Grade and our Private Lessons. Classes are ages 6 months and up unless specified.
If you are a Doggy Daycare pup only and would like to take part in group classes (or if you have any questions), please email us at [email protected].

- Please only use 1 slot (even if you are bringing more than one person with you, it will still only be one dog).
- Please bring a large amount of pea-sized high value treats with you to every class along with a treat pouch to keep them in for easy rewarding. A hungry dog also wouldn't be a bad idea 😉
- Please bring a slip leash if you have one, if not, a flat or martingale collar. I would prefer no harnesses in Group Class. You may be given a slip leash to use in class.
- There must be a minimum of 3 dogs signed up to host a group class or that class will be canceled.
- Please check your email or Group sign-up prior to attending class to ensure class has not been canceled due to lack of sign ups, sickness, weather, etc.

Brief Class Descriptions:

Puppy Obedience (ages 6 months and under only)
- Luring & Shaping Basics
- Practicing/Teaching Sit, Down, Place, Come & Release Cues
- Basic Manners & Impulse Control Practice
- Eye Contact, Engagement, Motivation

Adult Obedience
- Practicing/Teaching Sit, Down, Place, Come & Release Cues (& others)
- Adding longer duration, more distractions and greater distance to cues

Tricks for Treats
- This class will choose a few fun tricks to teach your dog, like spin, weave between your legs, roll over & more! A great bond building class!

Impulse Control
- Help your dog learn boundaries, to not charge through doors & gates, to “leave it” & to make better decisions!
Place - Foundations & Distractions
- An entire class devoted strictly to “place”. Bringing in different distractions, environments and more to further your dog's skill level

Art of Doing Nothing
- Does your dog have a hard time settling or "doing nothing"? Do they struggle to watch people or dogs go by without getting to say hello? This class is going to utilize "Sit on the Dog" techniques and puppy socialization techniques for neutral reactions and calming down your dog overall.

Leash Walking Basics
- Is walking on a leash your biggest struggle? Then this class is for you!

Home Depot Field Trip
- Putting your skills to the test OR needing help in crowded spaces? Let's go out in public and see what we are really working with!
- More details will be emailed to those signed up as we get closer- space limited.
