Purvis Middle School Beta Club members spent their Saturday volunteering at the shelter. These hardworking students helped reorganize and clean our supply trailer and helped socialize dogs. We’re so grateful for all of their hard work!

For a five dollar donation to Hub City Humane Society you can express how you feel this Valentine’s Day!

Sweet: Your 5 dollars will go to putting a name or short message of your choice on a Valentine heart to our shelter pups! We will give them to our adoptable dogs on Valentine’s Day and post the videos online!

Sour: Your 5 dollars will go to putting a name of your choice onto a cat litter box. They will be given to the cats on Valentine’s Day! Photos will be posted on our page!

We asked for help and our fosters showed up!! Many of these puppies were shy before they went on a short field trip, and now they’re ready to take on the world and find a home of their own!

Even fostering for a few days helps make our puppies and dog way more adoptable. Consider some extra roomies on your next slow weekend!

We’re grateful for our fosters and community for getting us through this crazy weather!

When Lamar County Sheriff received a call about abandoned dogs, they were not prepared to see such cute family of faces waiting for them and begging for a warm place to stay! There was a mom, dad and pups.

When they called us, we knew we didn’t have any room at the shelter, but were able to find amazing fosters to step up and take on these dogs and puppies so they would be safe from the cold world!

Dad, who we have named Stumpy, is heartworm positive and seems to have been beat up a few times judging by his scars (see video in comments). He is a sweet beagle mix with little legs and a big heart!

We would love to raise funds to treat him and pay for the spay and neuter of all these babies! Help us get these babies to their forever homes!

We are SO grateful for all of the fosters that showed up today! In less than 24 hours, this community stepped up and didn’t hesitate to open up their homes.

We moved 20 puppies and adult dogs into foster homes! We have the best community!!

We also want to thank Rolling Oaks Farm for opening up some of their boarding kennels to house and care for a few of our puppies.

We’d love to see how you’re snuggling at home with one of our fosters or your own personal pets! Everyone stay warm and safe!

**Cold weather fosters needed!**

We would love to get some of our puppies into foster for the upcoming cold weather event! This would be a short term foster and all puppies would return to the shelter on Thursday. Fosters must be local to the Hattiesburg area. All supplies provided!

Thank you to Petco Love for allowing us to do lifesaving work this past year with an amazing grant! Not only did they keep our animals safe by helping us fence in our entire area, they also helped replace air conditioners that went out in the middle of the summer! Help! We are in desperate need of new or used washers. Our laundry is piling up and it is STINKY! One has already kicked the bucket and the second one is not far behind.
