Whitney Schreiber has been a lead vet tech with us at Davis Veterinary Hospital for 8 years. Her compassion coupled with her phenomenal technical skills are invaluable to us! She is the epitome of the cat whisperer, but all the dogs love her too! Her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is forming lifelong bonds with her pet patients and their families. She is one in a million and we are SO GRATEFUL that she’s on our team!

❄️🐾❄️🐾Jaxson said it’s WAY too cold to be out and about!! The roads are still too dangerous to travel so we are planning to open by noon tomorrow (earlier if possible). We will make room in the schedule for anyone who needs to be seen. We apologize for the delay in opening but the safety of our employees our clients is our primary concern! 🐾❄️🐾❄️

❄️🐾We will be closed Tuesday, January 21st due to inclement weather! We will reopen Wednesday as soon as the roads permit travel. Please stay safe and warm and keep your pets protected!❄️🐾

❄️ BURRR! We have quite the cold front moving through this weekend and a chance of snow next week. ❄️

🤍 Friendly reminder for any and all outdoor babies: make sure they have a dry, warm place to bed down or a dedicated room to stay protected from the elements. 🤍

✨ Some helpful tips: ✨
1. Check your vehicles for pets that may crawl under the hood for warmth.
2. If your pets are outside keep in mind their size and coat type can dictate the time they're comfortable outside.
3. Protect their feet: make sure to dry their feet when they come inside and that they don't get too cold.

🥳 We know everyone is ready to celebrate tonight but keep in mind your pets! Having a designated room or kennel can help make sure that they don't get scared and wander off in all the excitement. 🥳

🐾 Make sure your guests know not to feed your pets table food as it can cause an upset stomach and not all foods are pet safe. 🐾

✨ It's that time of year! ✨

❄️ With the temps getting colder, it's important that you remember to prep for your fur babies. If you have outdoor pets, try to give them a shelter that can stay dry and be padded down with warm blankets and bedding.❄️

🐾 Check your pets' paws when they come back inside to make sure they're clean and dry.🐾

🐕 A lot of pets love being outside when it's colder but be mindful of the time. Different coat types can affect the amount of time spent outside.🐕

👀 Always check your vehicle for any chance of babies crawling beneath the hood for warmth. 👀
