Finishing out our Veterinary Receptionist week with our amazing receptionist Shawna!
Shawna shares what she loves about her job.

“I have been part of the Pine Belt family for almost two years now, but there's still always something new to learn! Getting more familiar with sheep, goats, pigs, cows and horses has been especially interesting. But the best part has been the connections I've made with our clients and patients. Getting to know all of you has made me feel more grounded and involved with the Hattiesburg community after moving here from Louisiana. Even when I'm bouncing around the counter to juggle phonecalls, paperwork, refills, and check outs, I'm always happy to see a familiar pet and family walk through the door.”
Thank you Shawna for your dedication to our clinic!

Continuing our Veterinary Receptionist Week with our spotlight of Amber, one of our receptionists who is also a Certified Veterinary Technician. A woman of many talents.
Amber shares what she loves about being a Veterinary Receptionist.
“If you know me, you know I have many jobs around the clinic including reception. Being a receptionist, I get the opportunity to see and greet everyone, not just the clients who are bringing in their pets for appointments. I love the interaction with everyone who walks in the door. Greeting everyone, making them feel welcome, and educating when I can just makes the job as a receptionist have so much value. I’m so grateful for all of the relationships I’ve made along the way!”

🔆 It’s VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST WEEK 🔆
Receptionists are a pet family’s first and last point of contact during veterinary visits. The communication and care they give never goes unnoticed. We value our receptionists and we want to celebrate them extra this week!
Ashley is our spotlight of the day and this is why she enjoys being a veterinary receptionist.

“My favorite thing about working as a veterinary receptionist is being able to have meaningful connections with our clients and educate people! We’re the first and last faces they see, and as a PBVH client prior to working here…the front desk staff set the tone for my visit each time! Sometimes a client comes in with a new puppy and it’s one of the happiest days…and other times they’re bringing in their best friend of 15 years for the last time. It’s our jobs to make sure EVERY visit is one that leaves our clients feeling heard, supported and confident in their care.”

❄️❄️COLD WEATHER SAFETY TIPS❄️❄️
1) Bring those babies inside! If you’re not able to do so, we offer boarding services and will be able to keep them until it warms back up. Also, if you’re not able to bring them inside or able to board them, make sure and have plenty of warmth available to them including raising the dog house off of the ground in order to minimize the cold air from entering the dog house, heat lamps, etc.
2) Make sure they have plenty of fresh food and water available.
3) Check under the hood before starting your car. Outside cats often seek warmth under the hood of a car, so be sure to check under the hood or honk before starting the engine.
