COPIED FEOM MY PERSONAL PAGE:
Most of our close friends know what a struggle 2024 has been for us. Just a recap so you will understand when I have asked for prayers and everyone has come through with those prayers. Richard has been unable to drive for the past year and a half. This reduced our income dramatically bc he has not been able to work. And I know you probably have heard about his accident in August which caused him to have multiple broken bones and a traumatic brain injury. Weeks in the hospital and a rehab hospital. He is much better but still even after almost six months has a long way to go before he is completely better (we hope and pray he gets there.) I have worked up to three jobs at a time trying to hold things together. We recently lost our car and thankfully have a new friend and neighbor who is loaning us her truck and we hope to buy it from her. Then at least I will have dependable transportation to all of these jobs. Jamie Sandifer has been a rock star helping me wherever she can and we are so blessed to have a loving daughter who tries her best to take care of us. Even with her health issues she has been a trooper. I have had to send pet sitting business to friends who I trust and also do this so that we don’t let down any of our clients who are also our framily. I’m not posting this for sympathy because I know our family has been blessed beyond measure this year even with our struggles. We could have lost our father and husband that day in August. Jamie and I thought we had lost him. And now, with his brain injury we sometimes feel we are still losing him. Only this time very slowly. This Christmas won’t be like all our others in the past. This Christmas we are very thankful that our little family is still together. It is not the presents under the tree that makes Christmas. It is knowing that our lord and savior was born and died for us! Honestly, I expect 2025 to be a whole lot better for us as far as health or finances. Yet, we are hanging in and will still hang in next year. I will work as hard as I can and encourage Richard to work hard as well. On getting well physically and emotionally. We are so thankful for our friends and clients who have been praying for us and supporting us with understanding and inspiration! There are so many of our friends and family who are in much worse shape than our family and my prayers are for them every day.
Sorry this has been a long read and I’m happy you are still reading. We love all of you! Merry Christmas!
