In order to achieve this, we have based our breeding program on a small number of Model, Preferent, and Ster mares and focus on quality over quantity.

Little River Friesian’s is dedicated to producing high quality Friesian horses which both strengthen the breed as well as provide the public with the best available options on the market today. The end result is to produce horses who have the pedigree, conformation, athleticism and trainability to excel in a wide variety of disciplines. Our foals will also be given the proper foundation necessary

for success, as they all receive structured handling from birth. Currently our barn is in the growing stage and we will be retaining select fillies as well as a couple outstanding colts, but at any given time we may have a few horses offered for sale.

2024 C**t out of sporty model mare Trude van de Kleine Koppel sired by Wylster 463. He is already proving to be sporty with incredible suspension like his dam at just a few weeks old.

"Boxing Day". Boxing Day is a holiday celebrated after Christmas Day, occurring on the second day of Christmastide (26 December). Though it originated as a holiday to give gifts to people in need, today Boxing Day forms part of Christmas celebrations, with many people choosing to take advantage of Boxing Day sales. Her mother Truus is known as the Queen around the barn, truly a spectacular mare passing along her genes in our only filly from her. 🌟 Vega LRF- 8 month old Friesian filly. She has beautiful gaits and received amazing scores at the Keuring but has a little too much white on her face to be in the studbook. She is very personable and will make an excellent riding horse or broodmare for crosses or non-registered Friesians. ❤️ Sired by approved stallion Brend 413 out of Ster mare Vogue LRF. Thor LRF is growing big and strong, and will be 9 months old tomorrow! 🌟 Time sure does fly by with the foals. He is very well behaved, bathes, leads, loads on the trailer, and overall is a good boy. Thor received Second Premie and Reserve Champion at the Florida Keuring. His dam is Sybrich v. Stal Staf Karima, one of our spectacular Model mares who is out of Jasper 366. His sire is Hessel 480 competes in upper level dressage and towers over the competition at 17.3 hands tall! Both of his parents have very long manes. Thor’s mane is a little brown from the sun but will grow out soon. Message us for more details. ❤️

Baby horses are like baby humans…they love to play in puddles! 💦 And of course just after they have had a bath! Trudi and her colt enjoyed a nice bath and then he was introduced to puddles and this is the result. 😜 This handsome boy is sired by Meinte 490 from Friesian Connection . Today is Cor’s birthday!!! 🎉🎂🥳 He is 14 years old! We celebrated with a carrot cake but he opted for the healthier options of carrots and apples. 😜 I guess he is watching his figure for his dressage work.
