Our last plea for Finnegan…

Finn has had no interest, despite our desperate attempts to find him a home. We love him and our hearts are breaking to admit that this is his final call before we will have to make the hardest decision. With our shelter staying so full, we have no choice but to make decisions that hurt our hearts all the way to the core.

PLEASE someone come adopt our precious Finnegan. Again, this is our final attempt to get him out of the shelter before we will have to say goodbye to him.

Our hearts are broken at the news Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral and Animal Emergency and Trauma. Your amazing team of Doctors and staff have helped many of our patients in times of need. As saddened as we were by the news, we are grateful that there were not staff or animals on sight. Our thoughts are with you and the recovering first responders.

As many in our community have already heard, an explosion occurred earlier this morning at our new building on New Centre Drive due to a car striking our gas supply line. Emergency crews are actively working to control the fire, and we are incredibly grateful for their ongoing efforts and bravery.

At this time, we are still gathering details and assessing the situation. We will share more information as soon as possible. We are grateful to report that the ECVMC staff and construction team are accounted for and safe. As this location is under construction, there were no pets on the premises.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with concern and support. Your kindness and care remind us why this community is so special.

We have received word that the Emergency Hospital of Craven County (next to Sonic in Havelock) will be closed from June 9th to June 10th due to staffing issues. If you are experiencing an after hours emergency please contact the Swansboro Emergency Hospital and Trauma Center (located on Phillips Loop Road, behind the McDonalds in Swansboro) at 910-839-5934. Our Annual Rabies Clinic is upon us! Rain or shine!

*This is a CASH ONLY RABIES CLINIC

*Please be mindful of our posted times for the Rabies Clinic. We will be operating as a normal hospital that day. The times posted help us better serve you and our clients quickly.

*An exam will not be given with this vaccine. If you believe your pet needs to see a doctor, you will be asked to schedule at our next available appointment.

*This is a Walk-In Clinic only. You do not need to call for an appointment. You can show up during our posted times for the Clinic and be helped in the order you arrive.

*Rabies vaccines will be given during the posted times or until supplies are gone, whichever may occur first.
