Animal Rescue Merrimack Valley is a group of experienced cat and dog rescue volunteers coming together to focus on Haverhill, Lawrence, Methuen, North Andover, Andover Groveland, and Plaistow, NH. In each town ARMV serves, there are several hundred stray and feral cats.

Does anyone remember Marilyn? ✨🎄✨ Marilyn once escaped from his foster home in Lawrence while he had a broken leg and was wearing a cast. Against all odds, this brave little soul somehow walked all the way back to the family who had been feeding him. When they saw him, they truly couldn’t believe their eyes. 💔➡️❤️

At the time, Marilyn was believed to be feral, but this incredible family saw past that label. They loved him so deeply that they kept him safe in a crate while his broken leg healed, making sure he never went without care, comfort, or kindness.

Today, Marilyn is thriving. He’s the happiest kitty, fully healed, and living his best life alongside three other cats and a baby. Watching him blossom has been nothing short of amazing.

Thank you, Christine, for opening your heart and home to Marilyn — for giving him safety, love, and the forever life he so truly deserved. 🧡🐾

If you have experience socializing shy kitties and can help, please apply as soon as possible at armv.org to foster Scruffy. Be sure to note your experience with skittish or shy cats on the application. 🐾💙

Thank you to everyone that helped make our adoption event successful today!!
Volunteers, families adopting, donations from alumni, etc…… our hearts are full. 🙏🏼🥰 Blessings!
We were able to adopt 16 cats to their furrrever homes (both at the event and from fosters).
We still have many cats that did not come to the event today that are looking for their future families. We would love to speak with you about them!! Also, we will have a number of kittens that will be ready to be adopted once vetted in January.
Again, Thank you for supporting non-profit rescue adoption!!
We’re so happy for all of their new beginnings!! Please keep us posted if you adopted… we love hearing from you with updates and photos!! 😻💖

Good evening folks - hope you and the fur kids are staying warm!!! ❄️❄️❄️ Just an FYI, if you're coming on Saturday, please bring a paper copy of your application. Also, know that if for some reason the adoptions are busier than usual, as we have received a large number of applications (which we're very thankful for), we do have more kittens that will be vetted at the beginning of January and ready for adoption. So, thank you for being willing to adopt your new family members from a rescue!!! We truly hope to find wonderful homes for all the cats/kittens and thank you all for being part of the process.

Meet Nyx and Zya!
This dynamic duo was born sept 11th. They came to us as an owner surrender after an unexpected litter.
Nyx (black and white ) and (Zya )are sisters and would love to go to their new home together.
Nyx is a go getter, the leader of the two. She is the first to do everything. She will explore the room, the toys, the humans and then once she feels it safe Zyawill be next.
Nyx and Zya are very friendly, love to play and love to snuggle in the bed with their person. Zya is a bit more reserved at first. She will need a day or two adjust but she opens up beautifully when she does.
Both Nyx and Zya are cat friendly and are currently fostering with an 80lb dog and seem to be doing great with him once they adjusted to his size.
If you are interested in meeting these two, they will be at our adoption event being held this Saturday at Petco in plaistow nh.
