Animal Rescue Merrimack Valley is a group of experienced cat and dog rescue volunteers coming together to focus on Haverhill, Lawrence, Methuen, North Andover, Andover Groveland, and Plaistow, NH. In each town ARMV serves, there are several hundred stray and feral cats.

Meet Lincoln and midnight.
If you are looking for dog friendly, cat friendly kid friendly, everyone and everything friendly then this pair is for you.
Midnight and Lincoln are 9 week old brothers and must be adopted togeher.
They came to us after being found outside in the cold crying at about 4 weeks old.
These two have tons of energy and are on the go all the time. Their favorite time to play is when you are sleeping! Their favorite toys being your hair, your eye lashes and your toes because if they are awake, they feel you should be to!
When these two are tired and want to take a nap, they will cry for you to snuggle them. Their favorite sleeping spots are on top of you! They love to snuggle and watch tv in bed.
You will find these two together all the time, sleeping, eating, and playing. If one can not find the other they will meow until they do.
I have fostered many kittens in my 17 years doing this and I can say these two will be the hardest for me to let go. They truly are overall just awesome awesome kittens!

KOKO PUFF is a sweet girl that has been patiently awaiting for her permanent forever home.
She has been in foster with Jack and Colton and is an independent diva that gets along with all ariund her. Again, I want to reiterate it is imperative that proper introductions are done (after researching) when bringing a new pet in your home. 🙏🏼🫶🏻
We want all adoptions to have fairy tail endings and would be happy to point you in the right direction for information on how to integrate all furry friends successfully.

HERE’s JACK!!!🩵💙 JACK was brought to us about a year ago when his owner passed away. He’d only ever known the one owner. Sadly, the deceased persons relatives were going to put him outside to “figure out life for himself” (which absolutely blows my mind that someone would do that to ANY pet…. BUT, I’ll save that soap box for another post). .. Where were we….Ahem, one of the kind relatives was empathic and wise (amongst the few) and reached out desperately to Barbara. Jack came to us, terrified, afraid, feeling abandoned, just not knowing how his world got turned upside down. He’s been with foster Julie for some time now and she’s been diligently working with him. Initially, he Jack was easily over-stimulated and reactive. With time and kindness and patience and tons of love, we have discovered that not to be the case and to have just been situational.
It is Estimated this dapper fella is to be between three and five y/o.
He has been fully vetted and we insist his new family must commit to giving him a fantastic life going forward. At present, he does coexist with other cats, but can come across very alpha and bossy. So, Being an only is certainly an option for him!!!

Salutations from sweet 3 1/2 year-old Colton!
This handsome fella has been with his foster family for quite some time just doing his own thing staying under the radar. A very chill dude.
He’s a very loving boy and enjoys being with people and won’t shy from asking for affection. He gets along very well with the other cats he is being fostered with. His foster mom even says that a dog has been around Colton before and he wasn’t reactive…..
Obviously, that is case by case and any introductions with newly adopted cats co-existing with owned cats and dogs needs to be carefully researched and monitored for optimal success.
This guy is just an all-around good boy.
If your family would like to be the one to spoil this guy, rotten and allow him to grow old with you, this gentle boy would be a darling addition.

This handsome boy, was living outdoors when he first appeared at one of my feeding locations. He was quite talkative and after awhile he began to get closer and allowed me to pet him. I took a picture of him outdoors and the two of him on the chairs are from his foster home. He’s ready for adoption. He loves playing and has a lot of energy. He’s a couple years old. It may take him a few days or week to get used to his new home but once he feels comfortable he’ll be a great companion . He loves play and be petted and he’ll sit by you while you’re watching TV or reading and he’ll sleep near you at night! He’s just an all-around fantastic cat. His name is Harley.

This little guy was found on the streets of Andover crying underneath someone’s window. He was very young and all by himself and very hungry. Luckily, he picked the right people who fed him and contacted us and we trapped him. Within one day, he was sleeping on the bed spooned with me at night purring away.
He loves attention. He loves to cuddle. He loves to play. I named him rascal because he gets into everything. He will make a great addition to someone’s home.
