We received a call about 16 year old Precious, who had a very large tumor. Her owner had no transportation and no financial means to help her.

An amazing ARMV volunteer immediately stepped in, picked Precious up, and safely transported her to the vet. ❤️

Our ARMV veterinarian was able to successfully remove the tumor. Unfortunately, a biopsy could not be done at the time, but we expect results next week.

We are beyond grateful for the compassionate volunteers who step up for animals in need and support the lifesaving work our rescue does every day.

Coyote mating season is here!

You'll likely be seeing more coyotes out and about around Town this time of year. Mating season runs between January and March, peaking in February.

During this time, coyotes are trotting around searching for their one and only ❤️. Low light hours are generally the most common time to see these creatures, but it is not uncommon to see them out in the middle of the day - especially this time of year (love can't tell time!)

Remember that coyotes are opportunistic hunters. Which means, if they're out looking for a mate and happen to come across an easy food source, you bet they're going to take it, and some times this food source can be a beloved pet. This is why it is important to keep dogs on leash when on walks and to not leave small dogs alone even in a fenced in back yard. It is also important to keep cats inside. If your cat is not accepting of that, at the very least, bringing them in before the sun sets until after the sun rises will give them their best shot at avoiding a coyote.

Avoid inadvertently attracting coyotes to your home by keeping trash secured, cleaning grills completely after each use, cleaning up underneath bird feeders and feeding pets inside.

Avoid unwanted interactions with coyotes on walks by keeping your dogs on a leash. When close and attached to a person, a dog is seen as less of a threat, meaning there is no need for a coyote to defend themselves and it'll be less likely for your small dog to become a coyote's next meal.

Coyotes live in the woods, the live in towns, they even live in cities. Learning to live with them and learning more about their behavior and their habits will help us better understand why they're here and that we can comfortably co-exist.

We have three darling sisters available for adoption:
Ideally, imagine a home where they would go together, or at least two of them together, the third one would have to go to a home that has a very young cat for a playmate. We do not adopt kittens to homes without other young cats. We will need proof of this.

MEET Cleo - The love bug, she will find wherever you are sitting or lying when she’s done playing and cuddle up with you. She follows you around the house into every room, waiting for her daily pick-up and kisses. A true little sweetie.

MEET Mowgli - Quiet, confident, and very intelligent kitten. She will truly watch TV with you and cuddle. She is very playful and finds it funny to climb under the sheets when you are making the bed. She too is affectionate and will seek you to hide from her sisters when she’s done playing.

MEET Balou - The wild child, she is always full of energy and definitely the influencer of playtime/zoomies! She is hilarious in her little outgoing personality, dominating the house. She loves her treats and will demand them as if she is a tiger. She will cuddle but mostly on her timing because she is more concerned with playing.

All three kittens wait in line for morning kisses to be lifted up and given kisses individually before going off and playing or eating. This is a daily routine.

Gorgeous SISTER duo available for adoption:
Meet Winnie & Birdie - a bonded pair of girls like no other. Winnie (mama) is graceful, calm and affectionate while Birdie (lil bird) is a little more shy when it comes to attention. Birdie however loves her Tuna fish and her laser toy! She will turn into a little fur rocket and will chirp like a bird yelling for her daily dose of the laser! They adore each other and most times snuggling up together, Cleaning one another and wanting to be with each other. It’s quite precious.
At present, Winnie will cuddle on the bed with you while lil Birdie perfers her tall cat perch to watch everyone. With the perfect family, we know these girls will continue to just be the best duo and a loving addition.

Meet Bridget! She’s 10 months old, and looking for her forever home! Bridget does well with other cats, and would love a home with a friendly kitty friend. She enjoys hanging out and cuddling, and even doesn’t mind being picked up and carried. She’s also good with children, she plays gently. However, Bridget is afraid of dogs and would do best in a home without any, please!

It’s that time again when we’re asking you to please submit an application so we can work on getting it approved (prior to event- next Saturday).
We are going to have kittens available at the adoption event and any that are not spoken for already will need to have an approved applicant in order to go home.

Meet Lacey 💕 (3 years old)

Lacey came to the rescue as a newly pregnant mama and spent her pregnancy in foster care, safe and well cared for. In March, she gave birth to a beautiful litter of seven kittens and was a wonderful, attentive mother. All of her babies have now been adopted into their forever homes, and now it’s Lacey’s turn to find a home of her own.

Lacey is a true sweetheart who adores human companionship. She loves being near her person and will happily follow you from room to room, making her adorable little chirping noises along the way. When you sit down, she’ll join you on the couch, sit close, and look at you with those sweet, attentive eyes—she truly enjoys being part of whatever you’re doing.

She would do best as an only pet. Lacey does not get along with other animals, especially dogs, and will thrive in a calm, pet-free home where she can be the center of attention.

Lacey is also a bit of a foodie—picky, but enthusiastic! She enjoys her meals and absolutely loves Temptations treats.

Lacey has been very loved in foster care and is now ready for a quiet home where she can continue to feel safe, adored, and cherished.
