2.5 miles of fence in and along our Milk River summer pasture to prolong our grazing.
With the failure of the siphon tubes, the River has slowed in flow earlier than usual. When low enough, the cows venture out of our territory and it was time to fence them in…
It’s sure beautiful on the Milk this year, feeling blessed despite the extra work to put up the fence.
Stay tuned for updates on up and coming calves, haying updates and harvest will be here before you know it!!!

Offering 12 Registered Angus Replacement Heifers,
selected from the heart of our replacement pen,
Our goal here at PGC is to produce a FUNCTIONAL, DURABLE, FERTILE mother cow. Cows that make our lives easier! We are striving to produce a VIGOROUS calf, adding birth weight back into our cattle without losing calving ease - pounds on the ground make calves more cold hardy and gives them a head start to weaning. Our cattle need to have a BALANCED phenotype (leg, foot, udder, topline) with added bone to ensure longevity, performance, and the ability to travel successfully from the Milk River to the Bear Paws and Sweet Grass Hills. Our cow herd has been challenged by our environment and we produce cattle that are refined by Mother Nature. As always, our sale heifers have been selected by pedigree - with a predictable and functional dam and/or granddam - and then by performance and phenotype. We hope you find a good one to enjoy for years to come!

We selected this bull for our 10% donation of Lot 10, to MSU's Montana Angus Program.
He is a great example of our goals to create bulls and cows with correct structure, added bone and athleticism. We have been foot scoring every mother cow for over a decade and were very excited when AAA and MSU joined forces to advance foot scoring and the ANGLE and CLAW EPD's. Looking forward to the next phase of the project!
