Meet Gus-Gus, our new clinic chinchilla! He is about nine months old and is still very shy with new faces. He's enjoying his first dust bath since coming to us, and Albus is so very intrigued ๐คฃ

Meet Guiness! A.K.A. "Paddy". He is about as handsy as they come, and works as a full-time biscuit kneader. We're working on learning the litter box lifestyle, and he's got some bald spots from matted hair we combed out. He's still cute, inside AND out!
Albus is like the chaos of Friday... unavoidable. ๐ Have a great day, folks!

Goose had the itchies!
Today's lesson: why are cones so important? Albus has some very itchy sutures on his face that he would love to scratch. But if he scratches, he will tear out the sutures, damage healing tissue, and create new wounds. Same goes for pets that wear cones to prevent licking of surgery sites. ALWAYS remember to keep cones on for as long as your vet recommends, usually 2 weeks. Even taking them off for a few minutes is enough time for a pet to lick or scratch their way into an emergency vet visit. In this video, Albus only scratched for 5 SECONDS, but his little kitten claws would have done serious damage without the cone for protection.
