Update on little AJ from Emily

Day 3 UPDATE:❤️❤️❤️❤️

We will be here minimally until the 12th depending on how his blood pressure stabilizes being weaned off of his medication but that is SO GOOD!!
They were able to extubate our sweet boy yesterday and he handled it like a champ. CPAP is still in place but we are hopeful that he will be off of it and breathing room air by the morning. His Billirubin has been pretty high but light therapy seems to be doing the trick and we will see how his levels are sometime today.

I will be making another post sometime today about his full diagnosis and the extent of how lucky we are but for now… HAPPY NEWS!!
Please keep the prayers coming. Jay and I fully believe that God kept him here by the power of prayer by our community and we cannot say how appreciative we are🫶🏻

— Side note: Wyatt came to see us and I cannot express how much we missed him. For the parents with older children and their babies are in NICU, how did you manage it?? Y’all are superhuman.

We have a new member of the Baker Animal Hospital staff family. Afton James Harrelson was born Saturday morning to Emily and Jay. AJ needs all of us to pray for his lungs and infection to completely heal. He is in the NICU in Macon. Please pray for this family.

Due to the increase demand of online pharmacy prescription orders such as “Chewy, AlliVet, Vet Valley Pharmacy, ETC.” we will be charging a $10 service charge for every prescription request due to the time it takes our doctors to review and sign the documents.
