ā€¼ Help Save Slate: A Feral Cat in Chronic Pain Needs Life-Changing Surgery ā€¼

Meet Slate, a brave feral cat whoā€™s been living with an uncomfortable condition called entropion. His eyelashes are turned inward, causing constant irritation and making it nearly impossible for him to see with constant discharge and irritation.

Slate was recently found in our community, out in the cold, struggling to live. While the surgery needed to correct his eyes is costly, it's the only chance Slate has to live without constant discomfort.

We need your help to give Slate a chance at a pain-free life. His medical care is likely to cost upwards of $1,000, and after that, Slate will need two weeks of recovery in a cone to ensure he heals properly.

We can't release Slate back outside in his current condition. We also can't bear the thought of him suffering. Thatā€™s where YOU come in.

How You Can Help:
1. Donate: Every dollar brings Slate one step closer to a better life.
o Donate here or at apathwaytohope.org
o Venmo:
o PayPal: [email protected]
o Zelle: [email protected]
2. Share: Spread Slateā€™s story and help us reach more people who can help.

Together, we can make sure Slate gets the surgery he needs and lives the rest of his life free from pain. Thank you for your hope and support.

Celebrating 15 Years of Hope...a deeply personal message of HOPE.

As we enter our 15th year of rescuing animals, we are reminded of our founding mama, Hope. Hopeā€™s story began in 2007, when she was rescued from a dilapidated barn in Tennessee, desperately trying to protect her 9 three-week-old puppies.

In the middle of the night, Hope traveled to safety, arriving at our home. The puppies were infested with fleas and parasites; Hope faced behavioral challenges due to the abuse she had endured, and one of her puppies became critically ill. Despite these obstacles, our family adopted Hope and her special-needs puppy, Cole. We shared 11 wonderful years with them, learning and growing together.

Hope's rescue was the inspiration for A Pathway to Hope. As we cared for and placed her puppies, we navigated special needs, medical bills, behavioral challenges, and human struggles. From these experiences, we envisioned what animal rescue could and should be, and in 2010, A Pathway to Hope was officially founded.

Over the past 15 years, we've expanded our mission from focusing on huskies and malamutes to a needs-based rescue. We now concentrate on urgent needs within our community, including feral cats, pit bulls, animals with behavioral challenges, seniors, and providing critical medical care for all breeds of cats and dogs.

In 2021, we purchased Hopeā€™s Home, a rescue foster home and sanctuary for animals who have nowhere else to go. Here, we provide intensive medical and behavioral care, preparing them for their forever homes.

A Pathway to Hope remains a 100% volunteer and foster-based organization. We continue to be a beacon of hope for lost and abandoned animals, both locally and beyond. As we fulfill this mission, we often ask for your supportā€”whether through financial contributions or hands-on care.

Please consider a holiday gift in honor of HOPE here or at apathwaytohope.org. We are deeply grateful for your generosity, which enables us to continue this vital work.
We wish you and your family a holiday season filled with peace, love, and hope.

Thank you for your continued support of our mission.

HAPPY TAILS ALERT!!!!! sweet Harley came to us back in the summer. It took a bit but she has finally found her forever home complete with a new job as Service Manager at her new dadā€™s auto body shop.

Her foster said: Oh my goodness. We took Harley to her furever yesterday. Dan had a dog bed and a bowl of water set up in his office, his employee bought a dog bed for the front office. Harley was so excited to be there. She met some of his customers and they were excited to see her too. It was tough dropping her off, but seeing how spoiled she is going to be by everyone there. It makes it a little easier.

Live your best life sweet girl šŸ’œ
