One more milestone met for our Celestial litter! Their vet appointment went great and they got tons of praises from our vet and the staff which makes my heart full 🥰

We have less than 2 weeks left before they start going home from their extended stay.

Tips for vet visits:
🏥 Practice carrier time prior to appointment. This is key for pup to learn to relax and self sooth.
🩺 feed pups a few hrs ahead so they have time to potty prior to being out of the house for pelo fed periods of time.
🩹Groom your pet a day or two before. Not only is it nice that they look and smell good but it gives you an opportunity to take a close look at their skin, ears nails etc to find any issues that you may need to relay to the vet.
🧬 Bring high value treats for a positive experience for your pup. They will be getting poked and handled by stranger. Try to make it as happy of a time as possible.

Socializing your puppy early in life is of huge importance! Exposure to new sights, sounds, smells, other animals and strangers builds resilience.

Waiting for your pup to be fully vaccinated before socializing can rob you of precious impressionable time for your dog to learn. Instead take precautions to keep the safe but still expose them to as much as possible during those early stages.

Tips:
🐾 keep puppy inside carrier (all 4 off the floor) at all times.
🐶 limit the amount of people that can pet your puppy. Encourage saying hello verbally but no touching if they have been petting other dogs or you are in an area where dogs frequent such as a pet store.
🐾 get creative with socializing areas. It is not about seeing other animals. You can go sit outside a shopping center and watch people go by you can go to pet friendly stores such as Ross, Marshalls, Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc., to practice.
🐶 Keep outings short. Do not over stress your pups. Work your way up slowly.

Happy Halloween 👻 Our celestial litter tried hard to be scary but they are just too cute 🎃 Tag us on your Halloween posts so we can share all the fun!

Halloween Tips:

👻 Feed your dog at least an hr before you expect company or trick or treaters. This gives them time to digest prior to possible stress.

🦇 Keep candy out of reach. If your pet ingests any type. It just chocolate contact your vet for further instructions.

🎃 Choose level of participation based on your pets personality and nerve strength. If they are overwhelmed a quite place or their crate may be best. Even the most social of dogs should still be given options to decompress throughout the night.

Here is to week 6! We have ourselves some toddlers! Running, exploring and letting their individual personalities shine through. This week started off with their first vet visit and vaccines and will continue to be filled with new adventures and field trips.

Blink and you miss it! Our Celestial litter is 5 weeks old! The have changed so much in 7 short days. Their luscious red coats are coming in beautifully 🤩. They now spend their days playing in our living room pen where they are in the center of the action. They are facing new areas, larger obstacles and have fully transitioned to puppy kibble.

Our Celestial litter is 4 weeks old!!

Cosmos (available) 2.3 lbs miniature male
Luna (available) 2.4 lbs miniature female
Aurora (Reserved) 1.7 lbs toy female

A recap of everything that went down this week…
-they started puppy mush! Currently trying food 2-3 times a day and slowly reducing nursing times.

- They have mastered walking and have moved on to escaping the whelping box!

- Potty areas with grates were introduced to promote potty training.

- They wake up for play sessions every couple of hours. We introduced moving and crinkly toys.

- Their living area was extended for exploration!

- Puppies got a crate for sleeping, door will stay open for the next week or so while they adjust.

- Mom got her crate back outside the puppy pen so she can choose to sleep away and encourage further natural weening. Her food intake was decreased to promote the production of less milk.

- Now the fun starts! Tons of new activities to introduce slowly implement training and schedules and Ofcourse clean around the clock to set them up for success!

CA—> FL part 2!

The girls took center stage on this trip and nailed it! Seeing our home empty was a mix of emotions, but new adventures are on the horizon!

Some essential tips for you:

- Keep those collars and harnesses on point, folks! Add name tags and phone numbers, and make sure they're secure at all times. Your pets will thank you!
- Plan those pit stops wisely! Factor in your furry friends' needs. We stopped every few hours for 1-2 hours of playtime, potty breaks, and relaxation.
- Don't be afraid to lean on your community! Having a support system can make all the difference. A calm you = a calm pup!
- Find the fun in the chaos! Take time to smell the roses (literally!). Discover hidden gems along your route, even if it's just a quick 15-minute stop.

Our Celestial litter is 2 weeks old! They are very wiggly now so photos were an adventure 😅. It was an eventful second week with eyes and ears opening and they have been working on learning to use their legs. Our little potatoes are about to turn into fun puppies soon!
