The Reason(s) We’re Doing This
Our dream is being able to go to work everyday and make a living doing what we love! We are striving to love our lives 24/7 - 365 days a year. A huge part of that is taking care of animals and taking care of the people that love those animals (that’s you!)
We have been animal lovers since birth - professional animal care givers for a combined 25 years. As a veterinarian and veterinary assistant we have done it all - medical, surgical, research, education, grooming, boarding, and constant compassion for the 2- and 4-legged family members. That’s when work life started to take over home life. We’ve both made huge changes to correct that imbalance, and now find ourselves in a position to serve our families and community in an even better way.
We have combined our knowledge and experience to put our focus and determination towards Post Rock Pet Boarding. We’ve designed a brand new facility with your pet’s comfort and safety as the top priority, starting from the floor (which is heated) up! We have large, durable kennels to keep your dogs safe and comfortable, condos with “rooms” to explore for your felines, a large indoor playroom for extra exercise (especially on rainy days), a large grassy fenced area for secure walks. A fully equipped “spruce room” allows us to make sure Fluffy is bathed, with freshly clipped nails and cleaned ears, ready to go home. Equally as important are the things you don’t see that we do to keep your pets safe and healthy. With our medical knowledge, we know what appropriate cleaning supplies to use to prevent disease transmission, what vaccines need to be current, what behaviors are normal (or abnormal), what to do if your pet has anxiety or stress being away from home, and how to take care of minor injuries like a broken toenail from having too much fun!
At the end of the day - after our last walk and putting all your pets to bed - we can go home and enjoy our families (both 2- and 4-legged.) We know with full confidence that your pets will be happy, comfy, and safe at Post Rock Pet Boarding.
