📣We Need Your Help, Wichita!📣

Thanks to Dr. Braun, some awesome pet parents, and our incredible staff and volunteers, we have spayed/neutered ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY pets this week! That's a HUGE step in reducing the current crisis that our community is in!

When community pets come in to be sterilized, we treat them like our personal pets and they get the deluxe SPAW package which includes a pawdicure, an ear cleaning, and the application of flea/tick preventation. We do not charge for these extra services as we consider these to be quality of life issues for the pets.

Here's the problem... WE ARE ALMOST OUT OF SEVERAL OF THESE PRODUCTS!

We VERY MUCH need flea/tick prevention for both dogs and cats of all sizes, ear cleaner, and ear mite treatment! If you could add a few of these items onto your next Amazon order the pets and families we help would definitely appreciate it!

All WAAL animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed & disease tested (age appropriate) prior to adoption. They're ready to go home!

The best way to keep unwanted pets from being euthanized in shelters is to prevent their births in the first place. WAAL is focused on being proactive, not reactive, and we're leading the charge to end animal suffering and unnecessary euthanasia.

There's a quick & easy way you can help us impact the animal overpopulation problem in our community! Sponsor lunch for our hardworking volunteers & veterinary partners who are working tirelessly at our spay/neuter clinics each month. Your dog could die today…

We don’t care if they have shade, or a doghouse, or water…. Your dog could die today if left outside in these record breaking temperatures.

We’ve heard every excuse under the sun….

1. I have a small house.
(Get a kennel)

2. He jumps on the kids.
(Get a kennel)

3. He tears stuff up.
(Get a kennel)

4. He’s not house trained.
(Get a kennel)

We just wonder one thing… will any of those things matter if your dog succumbs to a slow heat stroke today? It will be painful and agonizing and your dog will be desperate for relief. He or she will be in agony as they dig to find cool ground to lay on, as they lose control of bodily functions because their body is trying desperately to cool down, as the violent seizures start…Is all of that worth not having to clean up a p*e spot?

Your dog could die today…

Did you guys hear?! We’ve partnered with City of Wichita- Government Animal Services, Kansas Humane Society, and Animal Health Center Home Care to work together to get more pets home and to tackle our community’s horrific pet overpopulation crisis!

Missing a pet? Go check IN PERSON as often as you can. If you’ve reclaimed pets from WAS during August, we will spay/neuter, vaccinate, and microchip them for FREE! Just talk to WAS staff to get the process started!

Just finished our last spay neuter clinic until August. 727 animals spayed or neutered between 6/2 and 7/2. We work with great people!
