Who’s ready to Pawty?! Hope to see everyone October 26th at Defiance for the annual Dawgz and Drawz event! There will be live music by DoC and the first 20 dogs in will receive a Halloween bandanna. Nothing is cuter than a pup in a Halloween costume, so make sure to dress them up for the costume contest!

Let’s help this sweet girl find a new home 💕 If you or anyone else is interested in meeting Zoey, please message me! If you have another dog, I am more than happy to help with introductions.

This is Zoey and unfortunately we are looking to rehome her. We think Zoey is a German Shorthair/lab mix. Zoey was born (we think) in the beginning of December. We got Zoey in April from a place that didn’t treat the dogs well or give them much human interaction. Zoey unfortunately has some anxiety due to where she was before we got her. We are looking to rehome her due to being unable to help her with her anxiety and socialization. My husband and I both work full time and we have 2 kids under age 3. We understand that Zoey needs to be taught and shown that the world isn’t scary we just don’t have the knowledge or time to do that. Zoey is kennel trained and is amazing with young kids. We have tried to have her around other dogs but she was very nervous (not aggressive). We have not had her around cats. She is up to date on her vaccinations and she is fixed. We think she would do well in a home where her humans take her out and about often and can help her work through some of her anxiety.

Group classes:
Puppy Socialization begins September 23rd and is held Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30. This is a four week course!
Basic Obedience has two options! Monday the 23rd from 7:30-8:30 or Wednesday evenings beginning the 25th from 7:45-8:45. These are 6 week courses!
Classes are held through Hays Rec. You can enroll online at haysrec.org or the main office!
