Time to introduce little Circe to the world. I co-own her with Theresa Cousins and will be training her and showing her in the upcoming years. Her first outing was to the crew at Nelson Lumber in Hayward. She was quite the little charmer, showing no fear and endless wiggles to all she met. Also walking on leash like a pro and doing some tricks. Thank you so much to everyone at Nelson Lumber for helping us out!!

This is the lesson of Queso, a very new rescue in her new home. As with all older rescues, this girl comes with her baggage. I am hear to tell you to dump the baggage and start anew. Too often I am told about the sad story of their journey into the new home. Yes we need to address the behaviors but the story is now “how lucky this dog is to have landed in a great home”Empathy is appropriate, sympathy is not!This girl was definitely suspicious but as you can see here she was also curious. Choose to acknowledge the curiosity🙂

I was called in for Olive and Cooper(separate homes), who were both exhibiting” aggression “ with strangers. One of them had already had a purely positive trainer which gave them no help. Both of these dogs were insecure and reactive but at no time did I feel unsafe. The solution is teaching the dog that the owner is in control and they need not worry. Also they must advocate for their dogs by teaching people what is appropriate in their interactions to protect and respect their dogs limitations. Most of us humans do not appreciate touch from those we do not have a relationship with so why should our dogs. Plus, aren’t they adorable🥰

This young female Shepherd was brought in for dog aggression. Yes she has reactivity, poor impulse control and she is a herding dog😉 We will work hard to help her with bad manners but Heelie for the win again. Puppy Mia was showing reactivity to humans and dogs. Her social skills were nonexistent but by the end of our lesson she had 2 new friends in myself and Heelie. Fortunately Heelie is not easily upset by poor manners and as you can see they had similar playing styles😂

Houdini and I continue to work on his manners. Owners reported some reactivity on their walks in a fairly busy environment. With a little structure he proved himself to be a typical youngster, immensely curious but able to be a gentleman when under command. Good boy Houdi😍

Yesterday Heelie met her sister from another mister😂 Lucy’s owners complained that Lucy is harassing their older Lab nonstop and eats everything in sight. Welcome to my world😜 While I was there we watched a snake go down Lucy’s gullet😂 These two were a perfect play match and we got a lot of training in before and after.

Had the pleasure of working with Rio while in kennel. She was stellar while working on her reactivity😍

Porter is coming along nicely🥰

Nash and I had a great weekend, earning 2 new titles in obedience and rally. He now has a CDX( companion dog excellent) and a RACH(rally championship)! This is his obedience performance, sorry about the video bobble in the beginning😬

One of our Rally runs from this weekend. Nash’s opinions did not help our score but he was having fun🤣

Taboo also helped me do some proofing for Nash. Good boy Nash, that was difficult😇

While Taboos’ family vacations, I get the pleasure of adventures and training with Taboo. Today he had social time with Nash and then training before his group class.

I love my clients🥰 These ladies were fostering Rosie and were wary of committing to her but I knew she could become their perfect dog. Rosie is a work in progress but this song says it all!!!
