Head over this weekend and enjoy an amazing lunch or dinner. It's their Friday fish fry tonight.

Donations will be accepted until December 18th. You can also bring anything to the shelter directly, or shop our wishlist on Chewy.

If you are needing or wanting to surrender your dog or puppies, or are in need of help with a stray, please contact us directly at the shelter.

Our shelter director is very busy but will always make time to get back to you.

It is extremely important to contact us so we can assess the situation, the severity of it and get you on our list. We always want to help but we do have a wait list. We are a small shelter with a dozen kennels and they fill up.

Please do not reach out to our volunteers, or part time employee as they are unable to assist with arranging the surrender of your pets.

What a day!!! We had the absolute pleasure of having some of the Wolfe County Search & Rescue Team here at the shelter helping us, and they brought donations!

Sharing this as the temps are supposed to be extremely cold.

Please ensure to only use STRAW for outdoor animals as it does not hold water/moisture. 💙😿🐾

It's going to be bone chilling cold for the next few days - make sure your outdoor animals have straw for warmth and good shelter! Replenish outdoor water frequently!

We wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank our amazing group of volunteers. We have 2 "paid" positions and everyone else who helps is a volunteer. We operate on a daily basis and keep a full house of animals. Some are also kept by our director at her home, and some by fosters.

We have a very small group of volunteers (5-7 people) that volunteer their time in order for our shelter to run and operate on a daily basis. Some are here daily, others are here multiple days a week and without them and their dedication, we simply could not exist.

They are here early, they stay late when things "happen" and we need extra hands. They come in on holidays. They clean kennels and quarantine rooms, do all of the laundry, wash dishes, paperwork, walk dogs, deal with multiple calls every day, go out and pick up dogs all hours of the day and night, take them to vetting appointments and so much more.

A HUGE THANK YOU to you all! We couldn't do it without you.

If you are ever able to help, or know anyone who can, please reach out. We are always looking for additional volunteers to help out as there is so much to do.

A wonderful donation arrived today from Chewy! If this was sent by you, thank you so very much! The delivery didn't have a name with it but we are so grateful for the dog, puppy and kitty food.

With so many dogs and puppies currently in our care, we go through a lot of food. ☺️
