🚨 EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT 🚨

We love the sunshine, but these temps can be extremely dangerous for our furry friends. Please keep your pets safe during this heat wave:

❄️ BRING YOUR PETS INDOORS - An outdoor dog house can be extremely dangerous during extreme heat. Your pet is at risk death if left in a dog house or shelter.

🚗 NEVER Leave Pets in a Vehicle – Not even for a minute. Temperatures inside a parked car can skyrocket in moments, even with the windows cracked.

🥵 Watch for Signs of Heatstroke – Excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse are all emergency signs. Move them to a cool space and call your vet immediately.

💦 Keep Fresh Water Available – All day, every day. Shade and hydration are their best defenses!

If you’re unsure what’s safe during extreme heat, err on the side of caution. They trust us to keep them safe, let’s not let them down. 🙏🏻🐾💙

We’re looking for amazing volunteers to help at the upcoming Hip to Snip Spay & Neuter Clinic! Whether you’re a seasoned vet tech or just love lending a helping hand, we need YOU to help us make a difference. They can't hold the clinic without help and the last thing they want to do is cancel! Our community needs this!

🗓️ Date: Saturday June 21st & Sunday June 22nd
📍 Location: 651 Armory Drive
Jackson, KY 41339
🕘 Time: 7 AM to 7 PM
Morning & Afternoon Shifts
Just a few hours during the day

Help with:
✔️ Pet check-ins/check-outs
✔️ Recovery monitoring
✔️ Cleaning and setup
✔️ Loving on some adorable animals 🐶🐱

No medical experience needed—just a big heart and a little time.
Together, we can reduce pet overpopulation and keep our community animals healthy and safe.

The 4th will be here soon, be sure to secure your yard, put a collar on all of your pets (hand write a number in permanent marker), bring pets indoors that weekend, get medication if needed etc.
