We are now producing kits with a removable filter foam plate instead of a filter sock holder for those who prefer this method of mechanical filtration. We have made several of these kits as custom builds over the years. Now you can grab one as a standard product. Like our standard sock based kits, these are built upon order so you can customize them with the number of inlets, left or right orientations and with or without a premade pipe kit. The lid also features our unique internal o-ring seals which provides the benefits of a bulkhead without the wasted space needed to accommodate them. We have the 5 chamber 20 gallon long version available now and will be adding many more sizes/options over the next few days.

We were fortunate to have minimal affects from the storm and our thoughts go out to our friends to the east who were not as fortunate. Wishing everyone a speedy recovery.

We have temporarily halted sales on our e-bay store in anticipation of Helene making landfall in our area Thursday evening. The storm is currently projected to pass slightly east of our shop as a hurricane. Since we build all kits upon order we'll have to close down in anticipation of power outages which could affect us over the next couple days. Once the storm passes we will get back up and running just as soon as we can. For all of our neighbors facing this situation please stay safe.

Here's another awesome custom build. This one makes great use of the extra real estate in a Marineland 125 gallon tank. Inlet water is fed in from both ends with the return chamber in the middle of the tank. One side is the refugium chamber, the other side is for equipment. Both sides feature dual 7" filter socks, a full width blind interlocking sock baffle for easy assembly and they have independent water level adjustment.

Here's a nice example of a custom build. The customer had a non-standard glass display tank which he repurposed as a sump. Based off his measurements we made a custom intake baffle, adjustable weir/depth baffle, a bubble trap with media supports, and custom inlet and return section lids. Some unique features to this build include the use of 1/2" acrylic for some of the baffles to minimize bowing (it's a 23" wide tank), blind drilled and tapped holes for the media support plate, recessed bulkhead holes in the lid so they sit flush, lid reinforcements to minimize bowing and a custom mounting setup for a Neptune Systems liquid level sensor. Finally, the bubble trap section has a custom lid system to prevent salt creep as the water passes through it.
