Dominique has long used his platform and his voice to speak for the horse as the sport of dressage continues to devolve into harmful training methods and practices that are scored well on the international stage.

Now more than ever he and Debra implore the horsemen and women of the world to seek education and understand the difference between training FOR the horse, and training that forces the horse.

This book explains the history, the reasoning, and the current state of the FEI rules that were put in place to protect horses on a global level. The Barbiers hope that by continuing to speak out, and furthermore by demonstrating sustainable dressage practices, that we can change the future and realign ourselves on a path that benefits our equine partners who give so much to their riders.
