Compensation: Non-Union, $700/week, (housing and transportation not provided)

NARRATOR- presents 25-40s, Female-identifying/ Gender non-conforming/ non-binary. Black/ Indigenous/ Person of Color.

TITANIA/HELENA- presents 25-40s, Female-identifying. Black/ Indigenous/ Person of Color. One actor will be playing both the roles of Titania & Helena.

LYSANDER/OBERON/FLUTE- presents 25-40s, Male-identifying. Black/ Indigenous/ Person of Color. One actor will be playing both the roles of Lysander & Oberon.

[NARRATOR]- presents 25-40s, Female-identifying/ Gender non-conforming/ non-binary. Black/ Indigenous/ Person of Color. The Narrator is the spirit and our MC of the event. Charismatic, confident, charming with a whirlwind of energy, guiding the audience through the chaos with a dazzling mix of shade and helpful insight, to ensure everyone stays on track while keeping the mood lively and the laughs rolling. Think host/emcee/hype-person that can hold the audience in the palm of their hands while improving in response to show and audience feedback.

[TITANIA/HELENA]- presents 25-40s, Female-identifying. Black/ Indigenous/ Person of Color. One actor will be playing both the roles of Titania & Helena.
TITANIA: the queen of the fairies, majestic, powerful, unpredictable temperament, conniving AND charming. Note: in this production Titania is the one who lays the love potion on Oberon’s eyes so that Oberon wakes up in-lust with the ass. She will have her way ya feel me.
HELENA: is the ultimate love-struck underdog, chasing after Demetrius like a caffeinated squirrel. With her dramatic flair and constant self-doubt, she’s like a rom-com heroine who keeps missing the punchline but never loses her charm.

[LYSANDER/OBERON/FLUTE]- presents 25-40s, Male-identifying. Black/ Indigenous/ Person of Color. One actor will be playing both the roles of Lysander & Oberon.
LYSANDER: is a hopelessly romantic dreamer who’s obsessed with Hermia. They have a heart as boundless as their optimism, think human golden retriever energy. Positive and willing to do anything to please Hermia.
OBERON: is the powerful, stubborn king of the fairies. Note: in this production Titania lays the potion on Oberon’s eyes so that Oberon wakes up in-lust with the ass. Think bravado, machismo at its peak.

Please join us in welcoming Jamie Chamberlin Granner to Picnic at the Grove!

Jamie is known for her “shimmering tones” and “star­ struck vulnerability.” ✨ She made her professional debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, singing the soprano solo in the World Premiere of Esa­Pekka Salonenʼs Wing on Wing during the inaugural season of the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Jamie created the powerhouse role of Elyn Saks in the World Premiere of Kenneth Wellsʼ The Center Cannot Hold, a co-­production with UCLA and Pacific Opera Project, which continues to receive national attention for its impact in both the art and mental health communities.

Recently, Jamie and her husband, Nathan Granner curated a lecture recital featuring the operas of Left Coast Composers for LA Made and LBO.

She is also a Delos Recording Artist and frequently performs with the Los Angeles Opera as well as Pasadena Symphony, Louisville Orchestra, and many more!

Jamie’s voice and talent are like no other and we’re honored to have her join us at the La Crema Wines Estate! 💖

Introducing Nathan Granner, a world-renowned leading tenor, headliner, solo, and collaborative artist specializing in Contemporary Opera and late Bel-Canto repertoire! 👋

Nathan will be joining us at the beautiful La Crema Wines Estate on August 12th!

Nathan has created numerous characters in world premiere operas, including the role of Korey Wise in Anthony Davis' 2020 Pulitzer Prize-winning "The Central Park Five.”

Granner's work as a recording artist (with Sony Classical, as a founding member of The American Tenors) netted top five on the Billboard Classical-Crossover charts, and as a headliner, has sent him touring across the nation and into the EU and Russia. 🎤🎶
