They are exhausted! Resting up for their new homes. They leave us next week for their forever homes after they see their doctor on Tuesday. They will be eight weeks old. This has been one of our best litters.❤️🐾❤️

These puppies make me laugh! They have the funniest poses when they sleep! And when they wake up, they just bounce up and down wanting to be picked up. I am not sure how long this whelping box will last. They are six weeks old and will go to their new homes in two weeks. However, there are two little boys that are still looking for a new home. ❤️🐾🏡

These little guys are so precious. They love the attention and cuddles. It is amazing how smart they already are. They recognize my voice when I come into the room and talk to them. It is amazing to see how far they have come in such a short time.

So when you have five Westies, someone always gets into trouble. Today it was our youngest. She has quite a personality. She was born to my Royal who I brought here from Poland to show eventually. We had a little slip up and she birthed this one who we call Princess because she has just reminded us of a Princess for awhile. Now she is a rebellious teenager. And, look at what she did to herself ~ blue ink from a pen she found. Now how do you get this out! She is now Princess Smurf!!

Princess Diamont of River Ridge Ranch and her mom, Royal Diamont from Superb Dreams are truly beautiful. Hopefully, we can seek out some shows this year and give them a shot at confirmation.

They are one week from leaving for their new homes. I love this time when mamas play with them and toughen them up some. Rosie is such a good mommy! These are not all her puppies. Most of these puppies belong to Reign.

Well, we are four weeks old. Such personalities ~ westies are the best!! These little ones amaze me. They already are running up with tails wagging. We have three males who are not yet spoken for! What is unique about these babies would be the parents were imported from Europe. Dad comes from a line of champs and grandchamps on the show circuit. The Mom’s are sisters. They are pure European puppies born in the USA!

Lexi’s three girls are all in their new homes as of today. This one, Maggie, rode with us to Destin to meet up with her new family. She had so much fun in the car. I just laughed and laughed at her antics from playing with her toys, to looking out the window, to being selective about who she wanted to hold her. Before she left she liked to play on the toy box, climb the ladder that is used to get on the bed, and bark at all the dogs going out and coming in the house. Such personality!!

Rosie had four girls little ones this past week. However, she was early and only two were strong enough to survive. We are heartbroken for her. She truly was upset. She is such a good little mommy!

Our sweet little girls are going to be 8 weeks old on May 19. After they have their Vet check, shots, heartworm pill, microchip, and final loving, they will be ready for their forever home. This little girl, ‘blue’, still is looking for her new home. She is so precious!

One was on our carport right by the door to the house tonight! Surprise!

It's still winter, so snakes are hibernating, right? 🐍Wrong! In Texas, snakes don't truly hibernate. They hunker down under brush or rock piles when it's below 60 degrees or so. But as it warms up (like it finally will this weekend 🤞), snakes might start moving around getting a few rays of warm sunshine, just like us. 🌞

The snake breeding season begins in early February and goes through May, and copperheads (Agkistrodon contortrix) will start moving around more. Their reddish brown pattern is perfect camouflage in our post oak woodlands 🌳and along our river bottoms at ENRTA, and during our spring and fall months copperheads are diurnal, meaning they are active and more easy for us to observe during the daytime hours.

Cool fact: Copperheads, like many other non-rattlesnake species, will vibrate their tail if threatened. Copperheads can vibrate their tail 40 times per second, faster than nearly any other non-rattlesnake species! 🤯
