When the fur babies are suffering, the human parents are hurting as much. This precious pooch beat the odds and now living a happy life with his beloved family. This is indeed a day to celebrate. Announcement:

Since the pandemic our animal shelter has been open by appointment only. Starting this coming Monday, May 2nd, 2022, we will be adding walk-in hours.
To serve the potential adopters and the public better, appointments are still highly recommended and will be prioritized before walk-ins. We often have out of town or even out of state adopters with appointments already set up at certain time and they will be helped first. Our staff and volunteer numbers are limited, but we will do our best to assist anyone who is looking to adopt, the shelter visitors and the public.
Thank you for understanding and your support.

Appointments can be scheduled at 804-580-6156 Monday through Saturday
9:00am-3:00pm

Walk-in hours:
Monday and Thursday 11:00am-3:00pm
Saturday 11:00am-2:00pm

Holiday hours will differ

Do you know me or my parents? I am at the shelter hoping my family will come pick me up!

Very large about hundred pounds lab or lab mix.
The dogs intake was not fill out properly so now we are not sure about the location the dog was picked up by a citizen. All we know it was near Dollar General, possibly rt 360 in Burgess, or rt 3 either Lively or Farnham.
