These dogs were all brought in over the weekend. The two bully-type dogs (male and female) were found together running around in the Center Creek area; and, the puppy (female) was found running around Jordanelle Ridge. More fireworks are just around the corner, but some of our furry friends aren't as excited about the festivities as most of us are. If your pup doesn't like fireworks, please consider leaving them home while you enjoy the show. They will be much safer and probably much happier away from all the racket! If you animal is microchipped, make sure that all info is current. And, if they're not chipped, the quick and easy process is offered at most vet clinics and here at the shelter!

Yep! Another PSA about keeping your pets safe in the heat! When walking your pet, please think about how hot the surface they're walking on can get! Follow the 7 Second rule to make sure they're little paws aren't going to get burned when going for walks. You can also use safety gear for your pet's paws, such as booties or paw wax to prevent burns. Stay safe!

Just like with us humans, heat stroke is a very serious issue in pets as well. Check out our PSA below to see what symptoms to look for, which pets are most at risk, and how to avoid heat stroke altogether! Astro

Astro is a 4 year old, neutered Husky. He loves the company of his people, and prefers to be wherever they are over spending time alone. He walks fairly well on the leash, but will pull when he gets excited. And, he will let you know if you're not walking fast enough! We are still learning about Bobo, but it appears he might prefer quieter dogs sharing his space. If you have a dog at home already, we highly recommend bringing them in to meet Bobo if you're interested in adopting!

Meet Achilles!!!

ADOPTED!!! He is a husky/Shepard cross. He is a 1 year and 5 months. He is waiting to be fixed but will be ready for adoption soon. He is sweet and highly intelligent. He will need an expireneced dog owner who can give him the time and attention he needs. Both breeds are high energy dogs that have amazing drive. He has one blue eye and one brown.
