Last night was the first night of Rally Class - it was a full house! We had small to large dogs, younger to older dogs, Novice to Master level experience handlers, mixed and purebreds all working together to complete these courses! We covered the basics of the rally signs, how to establish rear end awareness and changes in speed! SRCC Trainer Megan even demonstrated how she as a “human dog” would complete some of the more tricky signs 😆 What a fun class and that was just night #1, we can’t wait to see what they can accomplish next week!

SRCC is offering the C.L.A.S.S. Curriculum designed by Association of Professional Dog Trainers. The curriculum is designed to be fun and interactive. We have several trainers currently certified to do the testing for each level and SRCC is working to get more of our trainers certified to test for each level. Our goal is to use this program to help you apply skills learned to help you in your everyday life with your dog. You must successfully pass each level to move on to the next. A Beginning Puppy or Terrible Teens class must be completed prior to High School Level. As you progress through the C.L.A.S.S. Curriculum levels will increase in difficulty.

Stoney Run Canine Camp

We would like to introduce you to a premier, all dog resort facility called Stoney Run Canine Camp. Owned and operated by Susan Maravilla-Kujawski & Kimberly T Berryman. Stoney Run Canine Camp is located at, 463 South County Line Rd, Hebron, IN 46341. Your dog will have 20 acres and lots of green space to call home when you are out of town, or when you want to spend a fun time training and competing. Located less than 7 miles from I-65, we are easily accessible for all of Lake and Porter counties as well as the Chicagoland area.

We have remodeled the kennel into The Lodge, by creating luxury suites that include indoor/outdoor activity areas for dogs staying overnight. We also built a new 9,000 SF training/agility center and much more. We offer Boarding, Day School, Day Care, Grooming, Board & Train, Group & Private Training Classes, Obedience, Agility, Rally, Nosework & Barnhunt. With 20 acres and the new and remodeled buildings, we have created an environment filled with enrichment, which will empower you and your dog. Your dog will be worked and supervised by trainers and canine camp counselors skilled in reading behaviors in an environment created to allow for learning opportunities that will translate to real world skills. By working your dog in obedience, various dog sports and small appropriate playgroups, we will be establishing, supporting, reinforcing and strengthening good behaviors in your dog while building the confidence to have positive experiences in their everyday life. Visits to the vet or groomer, time with family and friends, visits to pet stores and other high stimulus situations will become very easy for you and your dog. We offer acres of outdoor play yards where sunbathing, sleeping in the grass, under a tree or romping with other friendly, compatible canine campers will be the norm.

We are excited to be bringing this opportunity to the area. We will strive to be a resource for families, as well as rescues and local shelters.
