We VERY often have people send us a random picture and ask what sec the spider is and i hope this will help a lot of the less experienced people realize just how often that WONT be sufficient. For this species, the spider isn’t tiny. It’s about 2/3 of it’s max size. Notice how transparent and nearly invisible the uterus externus is util i get the pin behind it and pull up? At the end i also show without the huge magnification of the 7” microscope screen, just camera zoom… Can you tell with just the camera zoom? i can’t. 😅

Took a few balfouri from home to make a balfouri display tank and noticed this lady has a pretty gnarly pattern on the abdomen. Looks like a scar but i struggle to see how she’d survive an abdominal injury that could leave such a scar so i’m not sure. 🤷‍♂️ Makes her extra unique though. 😁😁

LumenIZE Jungle dawn by Arcadia. Honestly the app could use improvement (maybe android version is better) but the functionality is still there and pretty nifty. Can program on/off periods and different intensities and it transitions between them gradually to allow more lifelike sunrise and sunset for your animals and plants. Gonna try to sprout some Sarracenia pitcher plants with one. 🤞

Fred says this is some mighty fine looking cork bark. Would be a shame if somebody was to chew it into little bits…

When you look away for like 2 seconds and your friends take all the magnets in the store to see if they’ll reach from ceiling to floor. 🤦‍♂️ And they did. Some were removed so it could swing.🤣

Repashy superload on the left and Pangea PIG on the right. About 5 min after making wetted food available. All i can really say about my comparison is the roaches seem happy with both. 😅 It does seem to me that the repashy has a few more in the pile but i’m not actually counting so i leave that to you. LOL

The gift that keeps on giving… Heterothele gabonensis holding another sac while i still haven’t separated out slings from the first one… It’d be a lot more exciting if i didn’t have like 4 different gabonensis females with sacs i need to separate already. 😆
