Gilly was ready to go to her new home and a day before transport arrived to pick her up, her “owners” ghosted us and the transporter. I’m sad that Gilly didn’t get to go to her forever home, but glad she didn’t make the trip to a home that didn’t want her. 💔 Gilly is a sweet girl that takes a second to warm up to you. 🚨Policy Change🚨Waiting list: Please check your emails! Choosing your baby has begun and it’s not fair to make others wait on you when you don’t plan on choosing during these litters.❤️ *this is not in regard to people who have told me in advance that they want to wait for a future litter*

We will be changing our policies that will go into effect immediately. If you do not respond during your 24-hour choosing period, your time will be cut in half for the next litters. If the offense happens twice you will be removed from the waiting list. You may place another deposit to join which will be placed at the back of the line and the process will start over. I’m sorry for having to do this! Unfortunately, it has been a reoccurring issue this year💔. I would shorten the length of time for choosing but I don’t think that’s fair to people who have jobs, need to consult family members, or are truly using that time to pick the right baby 💜

Lavender is the best 🤤💜🪻I love this bedding! The scent is not over powering where I have to worry about it and the hedgehogs love it! And it keeps the cage (and your room) smelling clean and fresh! 🥰

🩷 Pinky Update 🩷

🩷 Update on Pinky 🩷 His blood count is going up and his white blood cell count is going down! He may have a kidney infection but he’s getting treated with antibiotics now. A little bit about Pinky, we rescued Pinky at the beginning of January this year. Not knowing his background and thinking he’s 15-16 years old - we figured he didn’t have a lot of time left. He has no bottom jaw and no teeth, and super skinny. I assume he lost his jaw and teeth from dental disease, but it could have been from blunt force trauma (kick or hit) to the face. We assumed he didn’t have a lot of time left, but we still went ahead with the blood transfusion, X-rays, ultrasound, administering subq fluids every 3-4 hours and various medications. We weren’t going out without knowing for sure that he couldn’t be helped. On 1/9 I thought that was it and it may be “his time”. The only thing holding me back from moving forward with it was that I didn’t want him to pass not truly knowing love and a home. We ran some tests just to be sure and this is when we noticed he was extremely anemic. We found out that he was LOADED with hook and round worms. They were literally sucking him dry and stealing all his nutrients. This contributed to his lack of weight and anemia. He got a blood transfusion and was treated for the worms. Since then his RBC has gone up and WBC count is going down from being outrageously high. He has an enlarged kidney that we think be an infection but otherwise he seems to be okay overall (all things considered). We initially were told he was in late stages of kidney failure but I think it’s just been the stress that the worms were putting on his organs. Who knows! Maybe he’s younger than we think and has several years with us!! (Wishful thinking) He’s not out of the woods yet, but as long as he is showing he wants to fight then we will continue as well. 🩷 Our goal is to love him so much that he will forget any pain and trauma he’s endured i

🚨Hand-fed Hedgehog Update🚨

Unfortunately we lost one of the two babies last week, but the little boy is thriving so far.❤️‍🩹 This has been a tiring process, but SO worth it. It’s hard to tell but his eyes are almost all the way open 😍!! I’ll have to get a better video for y’all when they are fully open! I still haven’t named him because I fear that I’ll lose him and naming him would make it worse… I’d say it’s crazy how attached you get to these hedgies, but it really isn’t all that surprising or crazy.
