Hello everyone. This is not gonna be an easy post but unfortunately I will be closing my business by October 1st. I will be leaving Helena and I’ll be too far to continue my business in the Helena area. I apologize for the short notice but life has thrown me some curveballs. This has been a wonderful 2 years. I will miss every single puppy I’ve groomed. I will be messaging everyone individually who is on my schedule to make sure they know when their last appointment will be. I appreciate all of your past business and I’ll miss you all ❤

Fur and hair. While these twos words are often used synonymously they are in fact very different from each other. Fur grows to a genetically predetermined length then stops. Hair on the other hand, grows until it naturally breaks or is trimmed with scissors or clippers.

Most domestic felines are fur bearing. This does not mean they all have the same length, each has their own length determined by genetics. However, there are breeds such as Persians and Himalayans whose coats do contain hair that naturally breaks.

There are various textures among hair bearing canines from the straight coat of a Yorkshire Terrier to the ever curly coat of a Poodle.

There is a huge variety of fur bearing canines. Some with very sleek coats such as the very popular French Bulldog to fur that is several inches long such as the German Shepherd Dog. Again, it's not the length that makes the determination.

Combination coats include those with fur in some areas and hair in others. This is not a reference to the mixed coats such as doodles and many other mixed breeds. Canine combination coats include breeds such as the Afghan Hound as well as both English and American Cocker Spaniels. Feline combination coats include the Maine C**n and the Norwegian Forest Cat.

Hello everyone.
I'm currently half way through a year long course to be an international pet ethstetician. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time as im passionate about proper skin and coat care in pets. The knowledge im gaining is truly fantastic. I already use some of the best products you can use in this industry and am very selective about what I use but also studying chemistry of shampoo and what every ingredient is repsonible for is paramount in the pet industry. Im not sure if many of you are aware but the grooming industry is unregulated. Including every shampoo or product sold for grooming services. So it's up to every individual groomer to be the advocate for their furry clients. I do have exams every 2 weeks in the evenings so there may be some days I have to close an hour early but I will def let everyone know if you have an appointment that day. Thank you all for being awesome clients ❤️

Hi everyone. Just a few announcements. We are moving into that nice weather now and this tends to be busiest time for groomers cause you want your fur babies feeling cool in the heat. I am encouraging everyone to book at least 2 appointments at a time especially if you have more than one pet. I'm currently booked out 8 weeks solid and it's been hard to make sure everyone has an appointment at days and times they like.

Im not currently accepting any new pups. I do have a client waitlist so when I get the opportunity to take in more dogs ill be calling people off of that. :)

Ìn July and August I will be changing my hours. I will open at 8 instead of 9 and closing at 430 instead of 530.

I have extended my grooming times. Since I am a solo worker it's hard to fo check ins and check outs without running behind. So my grooming times will be as follows
Small dog-2-2/12 hours
Medium dog 2 1/2-3 hours
Large and xlarge 2 1/2-3 1/2 hours
This will allow me tonmake sure im taking my time and keeping that stress free environment I like to have for the puppies:).
