(Testimony from a dear friend/customer. We are very delighted, Pawtastic Bites contributed to Betty’s recovery.)

Hi, my name is Betty. Back on October 18, I got hurt in a fight with one of my formerly-bonded bunny friends. My humans took me to the vet that Monday, and it turns out I was really sick. I'm a dwarf rabbit, and I was losing weight so fast, and a huge infection had taken over a cut on my face. I also had a scratch on my cornea. My wonderful vet kept me overnight, and did surgery on me the next morning. I had a long road ahead of me--injections, multiple oral medications, rinses, and ointments. At my first checkup, the doctors told my humans that things really weren't looking good, and they should talk about when they wanted to draw the line to let me go if I didn't hurry up and start getting better. My weight had dropped all the way to 620 g and all I had energy to do was snuggle up by my humans and sleep. I had to eat and drink from a syringe, I was too tired to even eat my hay!

My human mama told her friend C Jay, who owns Pawtastic Bites, about everything that was going on. A few days later, so many treats appeared! They were so good, my humans broke off bites for me that I could chew. And the foraging mix had the BEST hay I've ever tasted... I started eating more on my own, along with the syringe feedings. It was hard work, but it was so good!

I started getting stronger and gaining a little weight back. I still had to get shots and take lots of medicine, and I still had a huge hole on my face from the infection. The veterinarians were happy that I was improving, but still very worried about me. They said I could have all the special hay and treats from Pawtastic Bites that I wanted to help me keep gaining weight!

Today is Christmas, and I am doing so much better! I've more than doubled my weight from when I was so sick (my human mama starts to cry when she fills in my weight log and says she still can't believe I made it!). And the best part? I'm getting very sassy and spunky again! Lying around sleeping all day is for cats--bunnies are born to binky! I'm having fun running around again, biting my dad human in revenge for all the times he touched my sore face and made me take medicine (I mean, I'm glad he saved my life and all, but a bunny can't be too sweet all the time!), and demanding my Pawtastic Bites treats. My humans told my vet that they believe the treats helped save my life, and I think they're right! Thanks, C Jay and Pawtastic Bites! 💜, Betty
