We are the only veterinary practice in Montana that has both highly trained primary care vets and a board-certified internal medicine specialist in the same clinic.

Endoscopic biopsy of the stomach

Endoscopy is a non-surgical, less invasive way to examine the gastrointestinal tract (stomach, small and large intestines). It allows us to see the mucosal surface of the stomach and also allows us to obtain pinch biopsies that can be sent to the laboratory for histopathology. Endsocopy also allows us to remove forigen bodys from the stomach instead of needing to take the animal to surgery. This video shows endoscopic pinch biopsy of a cat's stomach

Happy February everyone! February is dental month so don’t forget to check your pet’s teeth and get them scheduled for a teeth cleaning if needed. Also, ask your vet about dental disease prevention as there are many steps you can take to help keep your pets teeth healthy. Here is a fun video of one of our patients getting his teeth brushed by his mom. Vike gets his teeth brushed every night and boy do they look pretty!

Canine Lice (Pediculosis) This video is of a canine louse. Lice are an infrequent parasites in dogs and cats. They are species specific. Dog lice can only infect other dogs. They are usually fairly easy to eliminate with the proper medical treatment and husbandry. #parasites #lice #veterinarymedicine

Jack is a nine-year-old dog who had to have bilateral enucleation (both eyes surgically removed) because of chronic glaucoma from diabetes. Although the resolution of this video is a little blurry, it is clear to see that Jack hasn't let his loss of vision stop him from doing something he has always loved - running with wagging tail behind his family's 4-wheeler. He is an inspiration. We love you Jack!
