To Rescue (The Ontario Rescue) is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing animals. It is our belief that all animals deserve a healthy home filled with love and attention. We are devoted to the rehabilitation of cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, but will never turn away an animal in need. Through the use of resources, education, and the assistance of passionate volunteers, we will work together to obtain one goal, to help find a loving, caring and secure home for our furry friends.

Andre is the last of his litter. Our rescue took in a mom with eight kittens from the euthanasia list. Andre is still searching for his forever home. Besides being super handsome, he has a wonderful personality. Raised around both cats and dogs, he enjoys being held and has a very affectionate nature. Our rescue saved Arlo and Ace from the euthanasia list. As teenage kitties, they're bursting with life and energy. Well-rounded and full of personality, we're thrilled they're staying together. While they'll be missed, we're delighted they've found a loving forever home together. Congratulations to their new family for choosing to adopt.

Spencer, our oldest and largest Sulcata tortoise, ruined his shed from last year, so we knew we needed to get him a new one before the cold winter nights. Thankfully, we found an honest person on OfferUp who builds sheds and came and built him a miniature shed that is completely insulated and very sturdy; he took to it right away. All the shed needs is a little paint and Spencer is all set.

** Chewy’s situation has become dire. His foster family is moving and can no longer foster Chewy. We only have a week to find him a home. Please share we know there’s a family out there looking for a great dog to adopt. Meet Chewy, currently in a foster home and up for adoption. He is aged between two and three and has been potty trained, walks great on a leash, and interacts well with small children and cats and dogs. Despite his previous neglect and injuries (fractured pelvis and broken leg), he remains a humble and sweet dog who trusts people and enjoys their company. Pepsi!

It has been a couple of weeks since Pepsi was rehomed with her new mom. We receive weekly updates and Pepsi is doing great, adapting to her new surroundings and siblings. Her mom is doing a great job making Pepsi feel comfortable and giving her the time she needs to feel safe and at home.

Three precious kittens found their way to us, facing slim survival chances two weeks ago. Today, their determination to live shines through thanks to the incredible work of their foster family. Soon, they will need eye surgery (enucleation), a testament to their strength and resilience. Watch their inspiring journey unfold in this heartwarming video!

Three Puppies Needed Rescuing.

This guy breeds dogs, but things got out of hand. He brought three dogs from Los Angeles to Helendale, where some hardworking women sell tamales. They knew our Rescue from our yard sales and contacted us for help. The puppies were infested with fleas and smelled terrible. When I arrived, I knew I couldn't leave them behind. He has six more dogs coming to our rescue. The two older ones need to be spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and examined by a vet. The baby needs vetting.
