To Rescue (The Ontario Rescue) is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing animals. It is our belief that all animals deserve a healthy home filled with love and attention. We are devoted to the rehabilitation of cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, but will never turn away an animal in need. Through the use of resources, education, and the assistance of passionate volunteers, we will work together to obtain one goal, to help find a loving, caring and secure home for our furry friends.

Throughout the years, we have heard many people say that they don’t like to adopt black kittens, black dogs, and we’ve even heard it for black bunnies, thinking they bring bad luck, a superstitious idea that people have become accustomed to believing. I believe that every animal deserves a home, regardless of its outer appearance. I believe it’s based on personality and character, and every animal should have the opportunity to know what a loving, forever home is like. We have many wonderful puppies looking to be adopted, including one beautiful, two-year-old pug mix named Isla, who has also been overlooked. As 2025 comes to a close and we begin a new year filled with many adoptable animals that are overlooked every year, please consider giving one of these beautiful, affectionate, and well-socialized puppies a loving, forever home. Our Rescue is constantly looking for different avenues to bring in nutritious, healthy food for our animals. Thankfully, we have found two awesome food banks that donate to us on a weekly basis. They provide us with plenty of fruits and veggies for all of our farm animals. Sometimes, those fruits and veggies can also be used for our dogs. As you can see from the wonderful pictures and videos, our animals really enjoy the extra fruits and veggies they are given.

Blitzen was a very popular little guy. We found so many wonderful families that wanted to love him and give him a home. I wish all of our kitties got this much attention. But we are still very happy that he has found a very loving forever home right before Christmas. He was living on the streets when our rescue was contacted for help. We took him in, thanks to the wonderful people who helped rescue him. He now has a loving home with an awesome and loving family that is going to spoil and love him forever. We appreciate everyone who wanted to adopt him. I wish we had 100 more Blitzen's, but there was only one. Congrats to the new family for choosing to adopt.

We appreciate all the wonderful applications we received for Dasher. Unfortunately, there was only one Dasher and far too many applications. Liam's new mom is a supporter and longtime foster for our rescue. She wanted to add a new family member and decided to foster two dogs to see which one worked best in her home. She chose Liam, but also helped us rehome the second puppy. Liam was born to a mom that had been dumped in the desert. Luckily, mom and all her puppies were rescued and brought to our rescue. Liam has a wonderful and loving new home and gets to spend his first Christmas with his forever family. Congrats to the new family for choosing to adopt.

We are Torescue.org (The Ontario Rescue), a 501c3 non-profit, and 100% no-kill animal rescue located in Helendale, CA. We moved in 2023 to a 28 acre horse property so we can rescue more animals.

We currently have over 250 animals including dogs, cats, kittens, rabbits, turtles, tortoises, birds, guinea pigs, pigs, ducks, chickens and many more. We take in sick and abused animals that would have otherwise been put to sleep at the county animal shelters. We also rescue farm animals.

Benson is finally eating on his own after being found on the street with a fractured pelvis and rocks in his abdomen. We think he ate rocks from being so hungry.

Background history:
One of our fosters found this dog on the streets. Everyone passed by him and we couldn't leave him there. We took him to the veterinarian who provided treatment. He has a fractured pelvis. He must’ve ate rocks because they showed up in his abdomen x-ray. He is negative for heartworm. He does have a heart murmur. He is now with a foster and will be moving into the rescue. He will need continuous care until he’s up and walking on his own.

Comet is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He was surrendered to our rescue so he would have the opportunity to be adopted. He is 14 weeks old and a short hair flame point. He loves his toys and treats and has an excellent appetite. He is hoping for a loving forever home before Christmas.
