Day one with the big guy! I lost my tripod so I didn’t video the very beginning of us working. He started off nervous and did not like pressure on the lead at all. He would rear and try to fight against it but very quickly understood what I was asking for. I then tried to set up my phone on the rail and got a few videos! This guy is so so smart. He’s pretty friendly as well. Look at the difference in this video from the first time I pet his nose to later. I got him to settle down and realize that love is not a bad thing! I’m really excited for this guy!

Big announcement is here!!!

Everyone welcome tag #2562!! He is a 4yo gelding from Antelope Valley Nevada!

With having six months before the next competition pick up, I wanted to get a project, pony! After attending a clinic on Saturday, I fell in love with this pretty guy and decided I was gonna get him!

HE WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER TRAINING! He is big and beautiful and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!

Denver is officially in the pasture and out of his corral! He is going to be given the time to grow up, fill out, and enjoy life. I still will play with him once or twice a week but he is a baby and he done so much the last 6 months that he deserves a break!

Denver has been turned out into the big boy pasture for the first time today! He didn’t care to run and play he just loves to eat grass 😂 I have been walking the fence line with him to get him use to his boundaries, and he has also been introduced to the other horses safely before hand so there wouldn’t be any tussle over the barb wire! I watched him closely for a couple of hours and now he’s back in his smaller lot for the night. We will continue to do this and slowly leave him longer and longer. He also let me catch him so easily! He just stood there to be caught! He’s such a smart guy!

Little update on Denver. I gave him a few days off after the show to relax after such a busy week. The near future hold a lot of desensitizing and little things to prepare him for under saddle work in the next year or two. Today we played with the tarp. I haven’t worked on this for a month or two since we have been preparing for the show, but he handled it like we did it yesterday! I love this horse so much! Don’t mind me wiping off sweat and in shorts lol it’s HOTT
