The suffering never stops. 😰💔 We were asked to take this girl 3 nights ago. What some kind people thought was a lost, fixed, hopefully chipped boy living in a storm drain at the base of Black Mountain since early November, turns out is a BEYOND skinny girl, not chipped. 😭 After she was FINALLY trapped, in freezing 🥶 temps, the vet thought that she wasn't fixed, opened her up and it turns out she was fixed. They almost euthanized her for being so frail but her savior said she'd fatten her up. That's when we got the call. She couldn't go back to that storm drain. That cement storm drain is where this girl had been living. Obviously lost or dumped, no microchip and no one looking for her. 💔

She is SWEET AS PIE! The original vet said she was was a 3/9 body score. I thought for sure she wouldn't weigh 5 lbs. She's eating like a bird and we are okay with that because we don't want her to get refeeding syndrome and die. We went to see the amazing Dr. Hayes today for a checkup. Thankfully. She is 7.4 lb but should be 9 to 12 lb for her bone structure and size. She is shockingly thin. 😿 The pictures don't show how truly shocking. She looked so fat in the pictures which is why so many thought she had to be recently lost. I'd say based on her overall appearance, she was lost for at least a year. Maybe linger. We don't know how she survived. And I think with the low temps this week of 32-35°, possible that she wouldn't have lasted more than a few more hours or days.

We named her Amore because she's so full of love even after all she's been through and for Valentine's Day. They think she's about 6 years old. She's dirty as all get out but she and we are slowly cleaning her up. She goes to a new foster in the next couple days for careful monitoring of her eating and fattening her up.

Of course we're full, everyone is. We need more fosters, adopters and always, donations. TYTYTY Danyel Brown and family, your $300 donation came in the knick of time to make a dent in our always mounting bill at Inspirada Animal Hospital.

Oh and she was sooo matted they had to shave her. She was in so much pain from them. 😿

HUGE THANKS to Stacey ND for going above and beyond for this girl and to Judy for trapping her (it took her weeks to get her to go in the trap) and Henderson Cats new TNR program. Amore could not be returned to that storm drain. It's amazing she didn't get eaten by a coyote before they got her. We're told there is one more at that drain. We can't take it. We hope someone else steps up. We're sooo full and too many medical kitties. This girls not out of the woods by any means but she's no longer suffering. 💝

We absolutely hate asking for donations, especially after all that is going on with our neighbors in Cali. We personally have 3 friends who lost everything. It's gut-wrenching, but we can't save any without help. 🙏

It's so hard to tell these two sisters apart. Serenity and Sunday Sun are bonded petite sisters who are looking for love. They are approximately 9 months old, healthy, fully vetted and microchipped. They're sweet outgoing and snuggly. They would be great with older kids and even seniors. They're quiet girls that are just happy to be safe, indoors and fed. They will be shy for a couple days then they will blossom in their furrever home. Is it you? It's their turn. 💕

Occasionally I have foster and adopter kids give me drawings. Look at this awesome picture that Emery drew one night at dinner with her family. 😺 Her grandma Christine Pierce framed it and gave it to me for Christmas. 🎅🎄🎁☃️ I LOVE it! 😍 We all said "who is Wiskers? And did you know we currently have a black and white kitty named Whiskers?" She didn't. She just drew it. 😁 She is very talented and adorable. I've tried to adopt her but nope they say. 😂 Christine and her family go above and beyond for our rescue. For years. We appreciate all of them and I will cherish this furrever. It's in my new office. 💝 Thank you so much sweet Emery & Christine. 🙏😘😽😘😽😘😽💕

UPDATE #2: ENORMOUS THANKS to Candice and Hunter for fostering this sweet but scared boy. He's about 2.5 years old. As suspected, no microchip. He's vetted now. He was probably lost as a kitten. He's definitely not feral. He's decompressing and they will give him so much love. Hopefully he can go to this new adoptive family next week. 🙏 Poor kid smells to high heaven. 🤢 Typically that smell of an unfixed make goes away in 3 ish days. 🥺🙏🙏🙏

HELP?! 🙏🙏🙏

We set a trap to catch missing adopted kitty Lexus a few nights ago and we got this kid. He is getting fixed along with the works right now, as we speak.

Because he was not fixed, not chipped and probably lost or dumped as a baby, we don't have room for him but he can't go back outside. He's too sweet and It's an absolute Miracle that he's not been eaten by a coyote yet . It's also coyote mating season from now until March. They are out and about big time right now. He was found in a dangerous area of not only coyotes, but bobcats, Hawks and too many dangers for a sweet boy. Lexus's mom said she seen him in the area for at least 2 years. 😭💔 We really don't know how he survived this long. He's a little bit of a mess but he will clean up well with an indoor safe space and some TLC.

Brandi thought he was someone's indoor outdoor kitty. He's probably just over 2 years old. I met him, he seems young. I was able to pet him through the trap on Saturday. We will know more about him in a few hours, after surgery. He's very sweet. He was quite confused getting trapped but it was absolutely mandatory that he get fixed immediately. He's a big boy, maybe 10 lbs? Alexis's son and girlfriend named him Creamsicle. 😺 We said oh boy we haven't used that name yet but we'd had it on our list. 😁

WE DESPERATELY NEED A FOSTER, FOSTER-TO-ADOPT OR ADOPTER FOR HIM AS SOON AS TONIGHT!! PLEASE?! DOES ANYONE HAVE A BATHROOM THAT HE CAN RECOVER FROM SURGERY IN UNTIL WE CAN FIND HIM ANOTHER MORE PERMANENT PLACE? PLEASE???? HELP!?!

We've been wanting to network Cinder Ella for adoption for the last few weeks. Her foster mom was loving on her and getting her confident for that. Word came this morning that she's not letting her go. 😊 It's a foster fail. We knew that Cinder needed at least one other kitty to be her surrogate mom, now she has 4 kitty siblings that mother her. Well and her new kitty dad Vipurrr who bathes her and the others daily. 😁

Congratulations Cinder. We'll be gunslinger adoption soon. 💝🎉 Hopefully we're not losing a great foster family.😳🙏

Update: he got his 3rd stomatitis dental. 2 teeth removed. He has 5 left. 😰 Doc said leave the others and when we asked about possible mouth cancer he said leave this one area/flap alone. 🥺 For now. Not what we were expecting. I guess we'll have to see how he does on the coming days. Our poor Odie. 💔 All paws up. 🙏🙏🙏

Round 2. Rescue ambassador Odie Just checked in for his third and hopefully final stomatitis dental, again. Got all of his medicine, he's no longer reverse sneezing or blowing chunks and no one jumped in front of him again, today. We are really hoping that he gets his dental and there aren't any signs of carcinoma as suspected 18 months ago. Been a very long time getting to this appointment. Please say some prayers for our sweet boy today. 🙏

So many need prayers tonight. We are heartbroken about the devastating fires in California. Our hearts are with everyone, human, furry and the incredible and heroic first responders.

We could use some prayers for adopted kitty Lexus. She escaped her adopted home in Henderson last night. Her family has updated her chip as lost as well as put out items that smell like home and are on foot looking for her +++ We also dropped off a trap and supplies to hopefully get her home tonight. She's about 4 years old and is one of the car kitties we saved in late 2000 from a yard of horrors. Her family is crushed but looking high and low and doing everything they can to get her home as soon as possible. 🙏 Henderson Nevada 89074

Christmas Miracle needs a swaddler please. I don't have time. This weekend? Caturday? PLEASE? MUST have experience. And fosters get first right or refusal for adoption. 😁

He/she was saved at 2 am on Christmas Day. Approximately 9-10 weeks old. This baby's two siblings Figgy Pudding and Mistletoe were saved two weeks prior and they're doing great with their foster family. We don't want to add this one to the mix there because they're ready for a foster-to-adopt next week. This baby gets sexed, shots and microchip hopefully this Friday. As long as we don't have anymore emergencies. And PLEASE no. 🙏

UPDATE: Rosie is doing great at her new home, however she is on a hunger strike. More prayers please? I going to give her an appetite stimulant this afternoon. Please God thought that work. And quick. 😭🙏

An amazing meet n greet happened last night! Two paws up for kitten Cracklin' Rosie!! We're thrilled that EJ was referred to us a few days ago and after showing him a few kitties that we thought would be a good fit with his kitty and 3 sweet tiny kitty-loving pups (what a sweet family!) he said it was love at first sight when he saw Rosie. He's even thinking of keeping her name. 😊

Rosie, her brother Sweet Caroline (oops, she's a boy! 😹) and Brooklyn Road were originally fostered by the Hoyt family this past summer. We saved these kittens on memorial weekend last year at 4 weeks old. We didn't have room for them at the time but they couldn't go back outside. We ended up getting sister America, too, originally thinking she wasn't related to them but she was. We picked up Brooklyn and America and got them with another one of our foster families in the fall. All but Caroline were shy and needed swaddled but that proved challenging for these two families. We got word recently that Caroline (they're keeping his name and we ❤️ it. 😂) would be getting adopted by his awesome foster family. Yay! That left Rosie needing a HERO and that hero came to us yesterday. EJ is a kitten whisperer and LOVES his furries. He is the purrfect Dad for Rosie. We couldn't be happier that he picked her and we are not worried for one second that she's coming back. Even though her foster family took the best care of her, they didn't pet her for the last 6 months. They were originally swaddling all of them and we are grateful for that but they let them out of the giant crate too soon and weren't able to pet her for the last 6 months. We fixed that after I caught her to go to the new home last night. I was able to pet her and pick her up in the new home that is soooo much smaller now. A 5k square foot home with kids and big dogs is just too much for shy kitties. But we have to take what we can get. We ❤️❤️❤️ all of our fosters and we're grateful for any and all of the help. It was a tough year for the rescue. We're still catching up from lots. We're just so thankful that EJ picked our girl and Rosie seemed VERY happy instantly when she met her new large family. She will blossom so much quicker in a smaller space with extra TLC by her new Dad.

These "Neil Diamond song" kitties are about 9 months old now. Caroline is pictured with Rosie in the last photo. We'll be finalizing his adoption in the next couple weeks. We're thrilled that he is loved dearly. We REALLY need to find a home for their two VERY shy siblings America (all black medium haired sister) and Brooklyn Road (looks so much like Rosie). We will share them again. They, too, need a smaller furrever home with extra TLC. They're currently fostered in a VERY large home with kids and other pets. It's their turn. 💕

PLEASE share all of our rescue kitties. You never know when you're finding furrever families for them. Many are still kittens even though they're getting bigger. Best of all, these are the lucky ones 🍀 who aren't suffering outside thanks to our amazing foster families. TYTYTY to all of our totally PAWSOME foster families!! We ❤️ and appreciate you all!!! URGENT FOSTER NEEDED! PLEASE??? 🙏🙏🙏

Why did I think we wouldn't be here twice in a week? Over $500 and counting for him, too. 😩 Well, when I said we couldn't take Henry, for 3 solid weeks, here we are because I refused to let a sweet kitty end up at The Animal Foundation and die.

We saw the always amazing Dr Hayes today. She met Henry but couldn't handle him a week ago. Reminder: he's terrified of carriers. I've done this rescue thing long enough to know that he was probably tossed outside, possibly from a moving car and in a carrier. Sure, I don't have proof, but that's my guess. He was TNR'd back in July. He was taken in by a caring lady. She couldn't afford to fix his injured foot but knew he didn't belong outside. Especially because he was diagnosed with FIV back then.

Fast forward to yesterday. His super emergency foster mom said she noticed blood spots on the floor and blinds by the cat tree he took up residency in, in her office. TYTYTY Linda T-H for helping us in our desperate time of need for a place for him. It helped us get to know him this past week. I scooped him up today. Dr. H said his foot is still swollen. She said a lymph node in his knee was swollen as well. She was able to aspirate it to get a sample to look under a microscope. She said she would get back to us in a couple of days about it. He got a 24 antibiotic shot. He also got a steroid shot because it was hard to get it in his food this past week. He was on a hunger strike for almost 3 days. The first 3 days. She also did a mini blood panel to check his red and white blood cells because of his feline aids. That thankfully came back great. A little anemia but that's because of his foot. We had to move him again after the vet today. Hopefully he continues to eat and feel better. Hopefully his foot gets back to normal soon with all of this. We have an application coming in for him, officially, tomorrow. We would LOVE to get Henry into his furrever home this week. We will of course continue to help with his foot if needed but we need help. After another $300 payment to IAH today, we still owe over $1100. 😿 It never ends. But we're so happy this sweet boy is relaxing and didn't die. He's on his way to getting better and a new furrever home soon. 🙏💘🙏

UPDATE. After a great night one update, even with NYE fireworks, unfortunately to no fault of their own, the girls were returned yesterday. The sweet little boy cried and cried. He made me cry. 😭💔 He had renamed them Ruffles and Thunder. 💗 This was a tough one. We are BEYOND grateful for their foster Mom n Dad to take them back yesterday, too. This is not how we wanted to start the new year. Last year was the year of returns. We go to great lengths to make sure we have a purrfect fit before we deliver any kitty. 95% of the time it's right the first time. Last year we had kitties come back from weeks, to months to 5 years after they were adopted. 💔 The girls are now decompressing from the whirlwind 3 days. Thankfully they are resilient. Me too. But super bummed for them. 😞

We were able to squeeze in one last double meet n greet into 2024 last night on New Year's Eve. 🎉 FINALLY Raindrop and Dewdrop bonded kitten sisters were picked! They went to the sweetest family. They stayed on a trial run. These would be mom's first kitties. I made sure that we took THE BEST fit for the family when they requested short-haired female and good with kids. The girls were a tad confused about their new family but I'm 90% sure they'll relax today after neighborhood fireworks. The family made sure to keep them in the quietest and safest room in the home, a downstairs bathroom. They had the cutest setup and sooo much love to give. These girls LOVE to play and the kids can't wait. Hoping to get an amazing update today.

ENORMOUS THANKS to their foster families Dvora and Golan who took great care of them with their super feral mama at a week old and Eric and Debbie since. We couldn't believe we still had them but sometimes they're just waiting for their family to be ready for them. 😊💖

*Mama Celestial is no longer super feral. She's come a looong way. See the last picture here. She's not ready for her furrever home yet but she may qualify for a Foster Furrever home in a month. 🐈💕 She's so pretty! Her girl's look so much like her. Brother Doppler must of looked like Dad. UPDATE #2: UGH. We had what we thought was the perfect home for this kid. It sounded purrfect. No other kitties. No other pets. A loving home for our FIV+ kid. I even got a second application on him and turned it down because the original application came referred by one of our dear friends to the rescue and we wanted to honor that even though we were going to be delayed and taking him a few days. A few days turned into 10 days and they canceled. Of course we called the second application immediately and even though they've not gotten another kitty yet it might not happen. We are crushed for this kid. We don't have a place for him. I had said many times before we took him in that we didn't have room. So here we are now. Can anyone please please please foster this sweet boy? 🙏🙏🙏🙏 ---------------------------- Update: ENORMOUS THANKS to Linda T.H. for the last minute emergency help with this sweet boy! Linda recently had surgery and bought us a couple days. We still need someone else to take Henry. Please?! Preferably on Wednesday. 🙏🙏🙏 ---------------------------- URGENT! FOSTER NEEDED TONIGHT!! 🙏🙏🙏 This is FIV+ Henry that we saved yesterday. His finder had done all she could and was going to call animal control to come get him yesterday because she couldn't get him in a cat carrier two weeks ago to go to another rescue. Then after I dropped off a large pet carrier a week ago and some Cannabalm and Cannanaturals (powder) to get him in it, he wouldn't go bear the carrier and was injured and in pain. He absolutely would've been euthanized bc of his fear of carriers. He was trapped early summer and tnr'd but had an abscess (we assume on his hurt foot??) and was probably traumatized by a carrier when he was lost or dumped and found his way to that home in April of this year. Facebook doesn't let our rescue page out pictures and videos in the same post. It did for about a week a couple months ago but that's the only time since our rescue s

I asked Furrever kitty foster Linda if I could share this video that she sent me a couple weeks ago. She said yes. 😊 This long haired Tortie girl loving on her is our kid Sassafras, AKA Sassy. Linda so kindly signed up to foster her for us through our Foster Furrever Program 2 years and 2 months ago because Sassy had been bounced around and went backwards. 😿 We weren't petting her at the time. We couldn't but we had 2 years prior. We didn't have a place for her. There aren't a lot of homes or places for kitties like her. Everyone wants a tiny kitten they can pick up and put next to their face. But what about the others that don't belong outside. The ones that wouldn't hurt a fly and are good kitties, but we can't pet them easily? 🥺 So we created this program for seniors for these kitties that are typically over the age of 3 years old and have a quiet home and extra love to give. 💝 We knew that Sassy was good with other cats and we had high hopes that resident kitty Blaze would love her and vice versa. It was almost instant chemistry. These two are two peas in a pod. The play daily and absolutely love each other. We have been sooo thankful to Linda for giving her a home with love and knowing that she may never pet her and then one day recently..... Bam! Sassafras turned into an absolute love bug! 😍 Sometimes it takes a few days. Sometimes it takes a few months and sometimes, it's years. We don't know what these cats have been through before they needed saved, usually from our brutal streets. What we do know is that, with a quiet home, patience and TLC, they can and will 'turn' sweet. For our Sassy, it was 2 years and suddenly, out of nowhere, she went from sleeping on the bed and couch near Linda, to mauling her for love! ALL THE TIME!!! 🎉🎉 We're all thrilled!!! How amazing is this!?! And just in time for Linda's hand surgery. 😁 Now she's trying to pet two cats with one hand. 😹 Funny, not funny, but we're soooo happy that Sassy finally

Brunch today. Meal #2. She gets 4 small approximately 1 oz meals today. She's been resting in between. All kitties that are outside hardly sleep because every single sound they hear scares them. They're always on guard. 😢 It's heartbreaking to know that so many others are outside suffering right this minute and they may never get found, helped or saved. Be kind to kitties and all outside creatures. They didn't ask to be born. Kitties and other furries can survive a long time on water or even be brought back to life with goats milk. NEVER cows milk! That's a myth! Cow's milk can kill cats or make them very very sick. 😿 Help us save others. Adopt. FOSTER. Foster-to-adopt and Foster Furrever, volunteer, donate. Pick a rescue. OMG!! I set Cookie down just inside the house and she started meowing when she saw three of her kitty brothers. 😭😭😭 She had never meowed before! It took us a second to realize the time meow was coming from her and not one of the others with a new voice when greeting her. 😱😁😭😍 She wanted out but she's on crate rest for me next few weeks. She still skin and bones and only 3.5 lbs. She's very frail. But she's alive and home. We're so grateful for everyone's support and especially to the amazing Dr.Hayes and staff at Inspirada Animal Hospital. It's a delicate dance when an animal is as bad off as Cookie was. It's truly a miracle that she's alive and home. 84 days lost and not knowing how to take care of herself. This is why we saved her to begin with as a BEYOND cross-eyed baby. And why it's so critical that people stop dumping cats that have never seen the light of day outside and don't know how to survive. Even when they can see. This is why we do the hardest job, rescue. Winter is here and about to get extremely cold at night. It was 47 degrees the morning Cookie was found. Her body temperature had dropped to 97.5 by the time we got her to the vet at 11 am last Monday. Starving and body temps low kill cats and kittens that don't ask to be born into a life of suffering. Cookies home but so many others aren't. We try to save as many as we can but we can't do it without help. Full speed ahead on getting the word out and finding help for the others outside. They're fully vetted, microchipped, kitty friendly and would love to go to a home where they can continue to blossom. Saved from a backyard in Green Valley as babies they've been fostered with kids but they're shy until they get to know you. They can go to a family with older kids. They LOVE to play as you can see here. Their adoption fee is discounted for the pair as we need someone to help get them over the hump of being picked up more easily. Our Odie and Cookie at the vet tonight. 🥹🥲 Brother and sister from different pawrents. Odie is our rescue ambassador. We saved him about 6 years ago. Someone had intentionally cut his tail off. It was gruesome. According to where he was saved from on New Year's Day, I believe 2018? He had been outside suffering extreme pain for at least 4 months. With an open wound. People are evil. He's the sweetest boy. It took almost a year to heal with sooo many trips to the vet for new bandages +++ He eventually grew a little nub. If you didn't see our other post about him at the vet tonight, he Is in need of his third and final stomatitis dental. He is reverse sneezing and blowing snot everywhere. 😿🤧🤢😰 Every time he gets his antibiotics and gets better 2 weeks later so he can get his dental. Somebody else jumps in front of him with an emergency. We're hoping that it's finally going to be his turn in 2 weeks. Right now he just has to get better, too. Him and Cookie. Never a dull moment over here. ALWAYS something. Cookie really wanted to hop out of her blanket when she saw and smelled him. That's a great sign! She looks even better tonight and I was able to hold and feed her her dinner. 😍🥳🎉🎉🎉 HUGE!! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS!!! It really looks promising for her to come home. Of course she won't get to be with Odie yet. She's very fragile. 💗 Still only 3.5 lbs. Baby steps.

Check this out!!! 👀😍🥳 Cookie ate her 1 oz dinner while I held her tonight. 🎉🎉🎉 She licked the bowl clean! She looks even better tonight!! She wanted to get out of her bundle and even licked the excess food off of her blanket. Her appetite is back! Baby steps though so she continues to improve and not go backwards. 💗 See our other two posts from tonight, too! 😁 ... Cookie gave Dr.Hayes an Eskimo kiss when I handed her back off last night. Sooo sweet. We can't thank her enough for her expertise and tender loving care of our tiny girl. She's still 3.5 lbs. We hope she keeps eating and getting stronger and will start to gain her weight back next week. Baby steps. She's going to have a large bill when all is said and done. Her mouth is a wreck but that's to be addressed next year long after she is healed and home for a long while. We just need to get her home. Hopefully early next week if she keeps this up. 🙏💝
