Dr. W. speaks out on the new sales tax law that was conducted behind closed doors with no discussion. Small Animal veterinarians are now the only health care professionals in Kentucky required to collect & pay State tax on their services. The law excluded the multi-billion dollar horse industry & all large animal veterinarians. She is greatly concerned for so many who know their furry family member’s care is critical. Adding sales tax to their medical care is debilitating to owners who strive to keep their pets healthy. They are not a luxury they are family.
