Congratulations Mousse!

This handsome man graduated from his Board & Train today! He was a lot of fun to work with and his manners improved dramatically during his stay here. I look forward to seeing him back for boarding next week, can’t wait to hear how he’s done at home!

Satur•play

The last couple months that Bruno was with me before he got adopted he wasn’t able to play with the other dogs because he was recovering for ACL surgery. I asked his parents if I could have him come back for a day of daycare so he’d have a chance to play with his doggy friends again! I also asked Birdies parents if I could steal her for the day too since Birdie and Bruno were good friends when she trained with me!

Birdie happily jumped right in and played with anyone who would play with her. She had a lot of fun playing chase with Eva and wrestling with Fido. It took Bruno a little bit to warm up, he had lots of smells he wanted to s***f first. But eventually him and Birdie began playing and it was so cute! 🐾
It’s always nice to see any dog back for daycare/boarding but it’s especially special to see my fosters back for playtime! I’m so glad the rain didn’t stop us from having fun!

Cider was back for her last Puppy Program lesson today!

Her mom has been rocking it with her homework! We talked about more food luring games she could play, we did leash games and name games and just had a bunch of fun! I also have her a lot of different homework that she could do between now and April when I see them back for Ciders Board & Train!

The Board & Trains and I are enjoying this beautiful weather today!
After Lelan and I enjoyed the outdoors for a bit we did some recall and place work inside. Lelan is learning the ecollar and doing well with it. He likes to learn at his own pace but each lesson we make progress so that’s always good!
Mona and I enjoyed some outside time before and after her session. So far today she’s ran through about half her commands and is doing well with all of them!
Mousse and I spent his entire session outside. He got to heel around the neighborhood a bit and he did well with that. We also practiced recall, sit, down and place in the front yard!
Today I just have the B&Ts and my personal dogs so it’s a nice chill Sunday of training, cleaning, office work and repeat!

Each of the B&Ts got to have a working session while the social was in the “Big Yard”! This is a great way for them to practice their obedience commands with distractions but it’s not quite as distracting as being in the yard with the other dogs. Mousse and Mona did great so once we have time with their training schedule we will get them into a social soon. This was a bit too distracting for Lelan at this stage in his training- which I thought that might be the case but with our schedule and the beautiful weather today I decided to give it a try anyways! So I will continue to work him without distractions for another couple days then we will try again!

Mona popping on today the B&Ts are doing well! They’ve all started ecollar training so I’ve been super busy during our lessons and have not been great about getting photos or videos but they’re all progressing each day!

Jack was back for Puppy Program today!

Today we continued to play with some puzzle toys and talked about patterning calmness. Jack is so smart and so cute, I can’t wait to see him in a couple weeks for his last lesson!

Cider was back for Puppy Program today and she was very happy to announce that her excited/submissive p*eing has been much better! She had one small accident (compared to before was daily and a lot of p*e!) so that was great news!

Today we did some food luring and she LOVED that! We sided that to do some confidence building games. Shells for her nails trimmed and some brushing- both of which she did amazing for!! Can’t wait to see her back for her last lesson next week!

Miss Cider was back for Puppy Program!

This tiny gal has a lot of big feels and has been having trouble with excited p*eing AND submissive p*eing in differtn situations. So we talked about ways to help work her through those issues in various different situations. It’s important to address these things as quickly and efficiently as possible so it does not become a patterned behavior! I can’t wait to hear an update next week!
