National Labrador Retriever Day

If you have a labrador, you know!

This breed is in the sporting group of dogs recognized by AKC. They are pretty laid back, but needs exercise and activities to burn off some of their energy.

They are goofy, gentle, loyal and extremely intelligent dogs. They can be trained as a hunting dog which instills further obedience from them. They majestic and loyal dogs.

Or they can be couch-potatoes....we love ‘em either way!

Some fur-babies get scared by loud noises and fireworks. Help keep your pets calm during fireworks with these tips:

- Keep pets inside and away from fireworks.
- Make a safe space for them with familiar items.
- Use white noise to mask the loud noise.
- Comfort them with long, firm strokes.
- Keep your voice calm and avoid high-pitched noises.
- Exercise them before the fireworks start.
