Its almost 2025! One final reminder to renew your LVT License for 2025 and to make sure to verify it has been renewed if someone else has renewed for you. Late fees go into effect January 1st. If for some reason, you’re on the fence about renewing, look at the regulations pertaining to renewing as inactive (provided below).

18VAC 150-20-70(C) License Renewal C. A licensee who has requested that his license be placed on inactive status is not authorized to perform acts that are considered the practice of veterinary medicine or veterinary technology and, therefore, shall not be required to have continuing education for annual renewal. To reactivate a license, the licensee is required to submit evidence of completion of continuing education hours as required by § 54.1-3805.2 of the Code of Virginia and this section equal to the number of years in which the license has not been active for a maximum of two years.

Easily renew your license online by visiting: https://www.license.dhp.virginia.gov/license/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2Flicense%2F

Congratulations to our Piedmont/Southwest regional director, Carmen McBride for being featured in Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine's staff spotlight! We'd agree that she's pretty awesome too! 🤩👏
