Take A Moment To Thank A Veteran and to our own Trainer Nikki ☺️🥰 she served in the Army.

When you see someone in a uniform,
Someone who serves us all,
Doing military duty,
Answering their country’s call,

Take a moment to thank them
For protecting what you hold dear;
Tell them you are proud of them;
Make it very clear.

Just tap them on the shoulder,
Give a smile, and say,
"Thanks for what you’re doing
To keep us safe in the USA!"

One more reason we do not use or recommend the "gentle leader or other harnesses that come across the dogs face.

Here is the vascular system in a canine head. This highlights the enormous amount of blood flow in the dogs nose. This blood flow serves many purposes, fuels the scent chambers, aids in temperature regulation, allows dogs to effectively track, but this also makes the dogs nose incredibly sensitive to touch. This is the main reason you should not use face harnesses. There are plenty of tools designed to communicate with dogs that do not put pressure on one of their most sensitive features. I Credit this post to Grant Teeboon AKA the PawMan

“GILA COUNTY – On Oct. 19, a wild grey fox was obtained by Arizona Game and Fish and brought to Gila County Animal Care & Control. The fox, captured in the Rye area on Forest Service Road 379, has been confirmed positive for rabies.

What to Watch For: If you encounter wild animals behaving abnormally, such as appearing unusually friendly, unafraid of people, active during the day (when they are normally nocturnal), or displaying aggressive behavior, please contact Gila County Animal Care & Control immediately at (928) 425-5882.”

Even though it’s not here in Graham county, still good to take precautions.

A fox in Gila County tested positive for rabies.
